it would be a good time for a new thread. The first post on this one is not updated and it would be nice to have new faces come, but a thread with almost 7k posts may be a bit intimidating. Afterall, with all the 8's that were lost this year, you'll need some new faces to keep things going

I always thought a thread with more posts is more engerzied, a new thread with no posts people might think there is no activity, but then again that may happen anyway? anyhow bring on change
Yeah, I don't see the sense in starting a new thread. The first post just needs to be updated a bit and we'd be back in business...
+1 to what Loren said: A thread with tons of posts is more intriguing to most people. I see the Las Vegas thread always active (with tons of posts) so I even peak my head in there from time to time.

keep it just to be on the safe side. I'm seeing lots of SoCal dealerships blaming car problems on aftermarket intakes.
Newcastle had to get the throttle body replaced and the dealership wouldn't do it until he put the OEM box back in

I'm tracking a package delivery I'm expecting today.

BTW - I vote for a new thread because I can't figure out why this page is too wide for my screen.
It only happens in this thread. Every other thread on the forum is fine.

The issue has to do w/ how many pages the thread has.
If you look at the top or bottom of the thread you'll see a break down of how many pages total and what page your on.
As the thread gets longer, the numbers get bigger, and that section gets wider.
I had this same issue. The only solution on your side is to;
A) Set your post count to 50 post per thread to reduce the page count. (This will work for a while, but eventually 50 won't be enough either.)
B) Change the resolution on your screen, but this will affect all of your applications, not just internet explorer.
Here's a sample of several threads w/ different pages. See how the bar gets wider?

@El Nerdo - Genius, Pure Genius!!!
I had my post count at 50 already.
I went to a thread w/ 400 post, and it looked fine.
I changed my post count to only 5 per page, and the page got too wide.
In this thread, it's even worse now w/ 5 post per page. So I guess I'll go to 50 and live w/ it.
I don't know if I can change the resolution because it will affect a lot of the database designs I've done already.
Thanks for solving the mystery.

@Detrich -
Yes, you have your resolution set higher. That's nice, but I don't have that luxury at work because I have to design databases on what most people use for their resolution. 1112 x 864 here at work.
But, if I change the resolution to 1280 x 768, the problem goes away.
