i'd buy Gerri's 8. and i'll make sure i won't go upto GMR again i'll do crestline, big bear, and idlwyld. but not GMR

haha, my autozone battery won't last the previews w/ my carpc running.
I can always take a 100' extention cord and use a trickle charger while the movies playing.

I don't know if my Optima will make it almost 2 hours. Someone bring jumper cables.
I've got a battery charger but we'd need a place to plug it in and it'll 'jump' anyone who needs it.

it's been in the 3 years now, not sure how long it will last though. I usually don't run my stereo for more then 30 minutes at a time.

good point. I think quite a few of us have subwoofers in the 8's so I'm sure they might not be too happy with us. (off the top of my head)
- Jedi
- Daggoth
- FastRX8
- Lesper4

that's a whole lot of bass.

i TOOK THE 8 AND THE COBALT TO THE (sorry) drive in, both had 2 JL subs. they did fine. battery was a little weak, but still started. if you got worried you sould start the car half way through for a little bit.

remember that playing hard pumping bass music is going to draw WAY more then a movie that only has hard hitting points in a few spots. the rest is voice.

yea, i was going to say the same thing. just start the car up for a few minutes to let the alternator charge the battery.

...question though...i know drive-ins have that dialer thing to tune into the appropriate radio station to listen to the movie. the last time i went to a drive-in, the tuner thing had a wire that would hook around the antenna of the car. my question is, where to you hook that hook thing onto the 8 to get a signal from it?

Last time I took the 8 to the drive-in, I had the radio blasting, subs and all, the whole movie.
Had no problems starting the car afterwards.
Of course, that's when I had my optima yellow top, and no carpc.
Now, there's no chance my car will last 30mins.
I'm probably taking the Bu to the drive-in.

no hangy things at this drive in guys...they simply hand you a slip when you pay, to tell you what radio station to turn to, for the movie you paid to see.

Last time I went, I failed to idle my 8...and I had nothing more than the Bose stock sytem...my car was dead...we did the push start thing.
