San Bernardino monthly Mazda meet and drive.
^^ huge difference.
The stock radiator is good for most areas but when you subject it to harsher environments such as a Track Days, it can struggle to maintain the temps in a safe range.
Auto Cross is fine with the stock rad since the runs are short but out on a road track, after a few laps the car will be heat soaked.
Also, places such as Las Vegas where they see high temps and no moisture in the air have problems keeping the car cool. You should have seen us on the satuday morning drive out in Vegas last summer, we were climbing a hill in close formation going pretty slow and all of a sudden everyone with temp gauges is watching the temps go up and UP. (I was upwards of 230)
Everyone turned their A/C off and you could see cars putting more distance between themselves to try and get some air into the radiators.

not necessarily. There is a HUGE difference in the two water pumps as far as ability to move water and avoid cavitation.
I've had it in my car for over a year and a half and the thing rocks. It definitely drops the coolant temps much faster then with the OEM. (I've got digital water temp gauges so it's easy for me to monitor)

Cool, then it looks as though I will be trading in Fable2....man, that game was so dissapointing.
You will be struggling to find enough time to really play Fallout, but it is such a deep game with a great feel.
I'll keep it to the side for you next time we see you.

I've seen a different result on Speed's Miata though....where performance stuff actually provides performance gains. The RX8 was disapointing.

@ Gerry: i need help on SW: FU. I am having difficulty beating Shaaak Ti on the hardest difficulty. Any tips or tricks on doing so? I'm contemplating giong back through the level to level up some more and be more powerful for when I encounter her again.
@ anybody else: what are some nice and bright head lights i can put in my car? I mean, I could get a set of Sylvanias, but, i want something pretty bright. The driver side bulb burned out on my the other day. I've been a member of a honda forum, but those guys are total jerks and don't like to help out.

O.M.F.G., did you guys hear about the new budget proposal in CA?!
- The gas tax would immediately go up by $.12 per gallon! (we pay $.18 in state taxes per gallon already) That's a 66% increase!
This stuff is getting out of control.
The proposal calls for roughly $14 billion in tax increases, $15 billion in cuts and $11 billion in borrowing.

This stuff is getting out of control.
^^
Yep, cutting education (fire the teachers, let the kids go dumb)
cutting rehabilitation (let the crazies go free)
increasing car registration (didnt Arnold sign that amount DOWN the day he was sworn in?)
blah blah blah
Pretty much anything you would consider 'wrong' during these times . . . is at the top of the list
I say tax the indian casinos.
And not tax the 30% they have to admit to, tax every penny they make

i heard abottu it before i left for work this morning, they are tearing us a new a$$ hole. LA county sales tax will be the highest in the nation 9.6%. and we already have the highest states income taxes. (so i hear)
i dont understand how if the goverment is bailing everyone out why cant they bail california out. we obviousily have serious problems with the economy and these tax rate increases will just hurt more people.

it's not about bailing ANYONE out, it's about fixing our own mess first.
Simple economics here:
- Government in California has grown in the last 10 years (close to 40% by some reports)
Why not cut there?!
We have the highest gas tax in the nation, highest business tax west of the mississippi, and highest income tax at one of the lowest income brackets.
How about we CUT government? I don't know, maybe that's too crazy of an idea but I've always believed that government should be run like a business. If sales (revenue) is down, then cut expenses. At the end of the day you have to be profitable.
If that doesn't work, cut more expenses, lay people off. Shut down non-producing businesses. I mean, c'mon...do we really need the DMV open as much as it is? Do we even need that many locations considering how much of it you can do online?
Taxes and BORROWING are not going to fix this, only make it worse when we have to pay back all those bonds.

there's a particular tax system out there, which i currently forget it's name, and some european country is using it.
How it works is basically forget about income tax, and give EVERYTHING a straight edge 23% tax. sales, tax, property tax, etc. That way, NOBODY, not even the illegal immigrants, are immune to this kind of taxation system.
i heard it works, not sure if it's true...
