he's hiking up South Mtn with his girlfriend and some other friends. So he won't make it.

Tim please send me over some info on joining also, i had a blast today, my brother scott did too. i cant wait to assemble with that many rx's again. hopefully next time i see you guys, ill be rocking a few new additions to the 8. birthday is thurs, im hoping for some car parts hehe. anyhow, ill keep active here looking for more events.

I just wanna say thanks to everyone it was a awesome time. It was really cool to see that many rx's out and about. My favorite part is when we got to wickenburg at the McDonalds and the little kid in the parking lot said "Hey look at those Corvettes" All and all it was a blast. Cant wait till the next one.

Totally great to see everyone. It's been too long since we got together for a drive! I could do without the bugs and the speeding stripes though.

09Factor what the he11 was that all about - shopping and no cruise? You must have been sulking around CostCo knowing the rest of us we were going north, stretching out the RX legs a bit and cruising Prescott in our RX Caravan. Revving high and carving up those oh so sexy curvy roads :D

Ninco - are you Reggie or Scott? If Reggie - great to have another brilliant black with us and glad you made it. If Scott - great to see you again and next time around we'll make it something Mrs. Scott and Scott Jr. can ride along in. K?

Redjetpack - so glad you could join us for lunch and another drive. I would have to say the drive on the way to meet you was more thrill than the drive to Jerome. You'll have to meet us in the Valley next time. Other RCCAZ events usually have more 7's so your brother will find himself in good company if he joins along again. And it was nice to have a red in the pack of all our brilliant blacks and titaniums.

MNYREX - pretty boring...just driving up north, lunch, and driving back 'eh <snore> I really like your exhaust - HKS for you right?

BoxCar - I let off when I got up to 97mph. I just lacked the gumption to make triple digits. <lame> More drives! More drives! More drives!

Jwhitely - you and the Missus missed out on checking out 4 separate exhausts on the 8's. Greddy, B&B, Racing Beat and HKS. We had a great representation of 8's and actually outnumbered the 7's on this one. Next time right?

Prett - I second 09's question about Mei's 'nausciousness'. So which one is it! You know about the barf-bag DIY right? :D

Okay I'm in the market for walkie-talkies or whatever everyone calls them. Your advice is welcome. What would everyone recommend for walkie-talkies that would be decent quality for these rides and the distance we get from one another while driving highway etc?

Oh and here's a couple pics of a Lotus that found a cozy parking spot next to our 8's in Prescott.

Okay now that I've got all that out....how long til our next drive?

Yeah it was the HKS that I got. In all honesty I cant even hear it over the intake when I get on it. But if you say it sounds good then I guess it must. Im down for another drive anytime you guys have one as long as it is on a Sunday. And for ya comment on the walkie talkie those can be a lot of fun. Just have to watch the distance between you and the others, too far and you wont pick em up.

thanks for the help identifying my exhaust, im glad it came with the b&b on it, because thats what i wanted in the long run anyhow. taht just saves me 600 bucks or so....

im sure my brother will want to get in on the next event, to get some revenge for being stuck behind a slowbie over mingus..... actually, nm he just drives slow.

im in for the next one though, and if i dont get some car parts for my bday (thurs!!) im going to go berserk and just start buying things. i think ill just have to start paying the guys from vivid racing's mortgages to cover parts and work......
anyhow, i enjoyed it, and i cant wait until i have a run in with you guys again!

RCCAZ 1

Everyone,

Thanks again for a great time. Still sorting out my Gen 3 problems, so hopefully I'll have her back with me for our May event.

It was VERY nice meeting all of the new people (Mny Rex - again, Reggie - first time, Scott H - new member, but first time meeting... nice Black 8!, Redjetpack - first time along with brother Rusty, and our Gen 3 newbie with the Fikse wheels - can't remember his or his wife's name just now). Anyway, hope that all of you had a great time, enjoyed the great door prizes, and will consider joining RCCAZ for future club events.

Sorry I had to split post Prescott. I take it that everyone had fun climbing Mingus? That is a fun drive. Hope to have more details about our May event in the next week or so. Anyone with pics, please send them to teull@***.net for posting to RCCAZ.com. I promise I'll get them up within a week (.... right Boxcar and Poolside? ).

You have to rub it in don't you.:p I wasn't sulking too much, and Karen said " you could have said its my fault". We've been upgradeing things in the house and wanted to finish alot of loose ends up.
I can't belive you had a lotus park next to you. My 8 is jealous !

I thought it was very cool to have more 8's than 7's(for once). and Finially meeting Scott, and meeting Reggie too.

Side note:
Pool and Boxcar remember the blue chevy truck at the light? Well for some reason he decieded to "race me" across to the stop sign at the mall. I stayed in first and he pulls up and says out his window "buy American". Give me a break. Karen was laughing at him when we turned..

Dang it, the wife and I tried so hard to get our act together to go with all of you, wasn't ready until 9:50 but we were still in Gilbert. I knew there was no way I could run down a bunch of 7's and 8's. If I was chasing Escorts, but not you guys. :-) Well I hope you have another run real soon, I can't wait. As poolsidenaz points out I want to see an hear what kind of exhaust you guys have so I can modify my 8.

On June 5th, 2005, AZMazdaclub.com is sponsoring a meet that includes a run up mingus mountain (Between sedona and jerome). For all those in Phoenix, we will be meeting at the In-And-Out burger at the I-17/101 interchange at 7:00 AM (Next to Costco). It should be a great day, and you should be home no later than 4-5pm.

I'm going to start a list. Also, Check out AZMAZDACLUB.COM, as we would love to get more rotary owners out at the meets.
