Once a month meeting near San Bernardino
ghost: The practice day is $60 and you get around 12 runs in. Last time we where able to get 18 but there where more cars this time.
Lasper: I got a red today that looks just like yours. It looks good. I'm going to TRY to get over to a mazda deal and match it to a car. I'll let you know if I was able to. Or just let me know what you want to do so I can order it as soon as possible

MeShell is trying to figure out if we can get T-Shirts made up before seven stock. i am thinking somehting along the lines of rotorlution on top with a big rotor under that. (and maybe a little more detail then that)
is anyone interested in buy one or two? it looks like they would sell for $15 a shirt.
if enough of you are interested and i get get an advanced payment from some of you, then i think we can make this happen. If you all think it is stupid, then ........ FINE.
(i am thinking how cool it owuld be if we all have ROTORLUTION on the cars, and the shirts.) :D
anyways, just a thought.

cool pics Krazie...and yes, I want to get my calipers painted red. I'm contemplating getting them powder coated so I don't have to constantly do touch ups...and the red from powder coating would be a lot darker.

yes, thanks Krazie for the pics.
Kwescott, if you want my .02 I painted my calipers yellow with VHT Caliper pain. and mine come clean nicley. powder coating sounds like a pain. but is by far the "more correct" way of doing it. also i painted the calipers on one of my other cars, and i never had any problem with it.
Cesar i think has been having problem with his though...... anyways, it's up to you, just wanted to throw that out there.

I have no clue on how to DIY my calipers. I have a fear of taking the brake assembly apart to paint them. Brakes are important, and I wouldn't want to mess anything up. I know that some have painted them while they were still installed on the rotors, but I would hate to get overspray on everything.
I would consider painting them with the assistance of someone who has already done it. I think if I were to do it, working side by side with someone on my 8, then I could feel comfortable doing it on Snowfl8ks 8, or anyone elses for that matter.
On another issue, Richard Paul is going to be attending the Malibu cruise this weekend. He said that he would let anyone drive his car to test out the shifter...could even bring a couple to buy and install on the spot. (he will install it for you...on the spot...bring cash).
Going back to the caliper issue, anyone interested in assisting on this one?

Well, I am willing to assist you in it. I have painted many brakes (and done a TON of brake jobs. brakes really are not as hard as they seem. I dont understand how places can charge $200 to do a set of brakes...... it's just insane.

I would assume that we would need to do it at my place as the car would probably need to sit to allow the paint to dry...correct? Tell me a time and day, and I'm ready. (Just not this weekend since I wont be around)
