Lesper....come on, bad timing. You take the car on a run, then take it in for recalls. It's safer that way. By safer, I don't mean less likely to blow up or have a gas leak, but safer in the sense that you don't miss a run.

Man, I got a hole counter full of RX-8 recalls in the kitchen..of course this is only because I have double the RX-8's...so douuble the recalls. Kinda like Doublemint gum.

 

I know what Cesars new mod is.

I took my car in for its recalls, and then some extra things i wanted done. does this qualify as a new mod?
if so, my new mods are....

Replaced lower A-arms
heat pad under car
reflashed computer
center console release (on order)
Defrost button (on order)
fresh oil
new oil filter

I think iam going to have the most amout of new mods! :D




oh yeah, when i took my car in to the dealer, i asked them to look into why my cup holders/warmers get so hot. (it gets so hot i dont like to put anything in there like phones or my MP3 player.)

they said it was "due to modifacation of the vehicle causing exessive heat."
I asked the guy what modifacation i could have possably done to my car to cause excessive heat. He said "well your car is lowered, putting the tranny and exhaust closer to the bottom of the car" before he could even get it all out i inturupted him and said "come on, we both know that lowering a car does not put the tranny any closer to the botton of the car." he said "well yeah, all it does is lower the suspenssion." I said, yeah, and i dont like that on paper you are blaming the heat on me. i want that taken off of there..... so he did.

Also i had them check out a noise that the rearend makes when turning extreamly tight at very low speeds (like turning around) its not a loud noise, in fact its probly just the LSD working..... but i wanted them to check it out anyways.

They also blamed this on the lowering springs. I am suprised they didnt try saying my broken center console release is due to the intake causing sonic waves or some **** like that.

anyways, just thought i would share that with you. yet another reason you dont modify your car and try taking it to the dealer.

KC, I know what the new mod is too, now that I know you know....

Did Cesar get the exact same one as you though, that is the question. I'm thinking yellow with black, rather than yellow with blue. Yellow/Black would go better with the bumble bee theme.

If this is a relatively easy thing to do, and you don't need to make any measurements prior to printing em out...you could always bring one for me since this is our last meet prior to 7-stock. We could "install" it at Pirate. I'd cruise around with mine for the month.

I'm not certain of colors though, any suggestions? Black with red, black with silver....black with carbon fiber...so many choices. I think it would look strange though, if black wasn't the bottom color. Cesar, what do you think....?

Not certain if Snowfl8k is gonna rock the new mod, or how long she wants to have it...I'll leave that up to her to decide.

actually casey....im suprised that they didnt say the harsher ride of your lowering springs caused the pieces to break! thats at least plausable...but highly unlikely!

Sweet...I recalled seeing a Black with grey carbon fiber letters hanging up on the wall...but I think this was Viper's extras. I wonder if Viper would let me fly his banner...I wonder if KC will bring it to the meet
