Yeah I know!! Stupid bodyshop is lagging -.- It will for SURE be done before Seven Stock. I should have it before this weekend... cuz if they delay it again, I'm goinig to go nuts.

A random question: Anyone going to SEMA? I was thinking about going but there's no way I'm going to be able to afford hotel accomodations T.T

 

I went to SEMA last year, not sure if I'm going to make it. Glamis or Vegas, that's the choice I need to pick. Have you been? It's alot of fun!!

It was alright. I didn't get excited about anything really. Couple of cool cars, guess I wasn't in a good modd or something. My camera spent the night around my neck. I guess I was expecting something a little more organized. Just another parking lot meet/greet to me.

 

i will have to post some pictures if any came out after i down load them from the newport meet and greet. On the way home i saw 3gen 7 on the freeway and then got gas at the shell in norco 13.9 gals cutting it pretty close.

for those of you coming saturday, i would get here about 10ish, and BYOP.... bring your own paint.

here are things i would bring if i were you:

Brake cleaner..... paint does not stick to dirty calipers. try to avoid carb cleaner as it leaves a resedue. brake cleaner does not.

Paint.... get what you want, but I would go with VHT caliper paint. it's high temp, and seems to work fine on my car, no fading or staining yet.

someone might want to bring some tape, i dont think we will need 4 rolls of it, but some would be nice.

i have some newspaper, i think I have enough.

Lasper, engine paint works fine to.... it just so happends that the paint i baught is for calipers, but int he past i have used engine paint.

 

I don't doubt you...I'm just doubting myself right now. I'm questioning myself if painting my calipers is something I really want to do at this point. I guess I'm struggling with the finish....I want something that looks more like metal. That's why I was thinking about the Metalcaste product. I am still coming over Saturday and I'll be bringing paint (and Mountain Dew)....but I just am questioning whether it will look good. I guess you would have to see my car (post new mods) to know what I am talking about. I'm sure you guys will point me in the right direction.
