Would it be wierd to hear that I have NEVER driven in snowy conditions before?
I have only seen snow twice in my life. Is it hard to drive in snow? I do have my original all season tires the car came with. . . . . . should I be worried about the whole no DSC thing?

yup, when I drove past the two bus stops this morning, kids were balling up the snow and throwing it at each other. Definately an oddity in Fontana...not so much in Beaumont.

Snow, rain...about the same except you don't have to worry about Black Ice in rain.

those pictures were at my house in Beaumont... it was snowing here in San berdo also. I was very suprised. (when I said here, I ment San Berdo.) it is an odd site to see when there is snow in Redlands and San berdo.

I am also suprised how fast the "storm" left. it is very sunny and very little clouds right now.

I'll share my pics when I get home....I doubt the snow will still be there, unless that huge cloud going up the Cajon pass is still there.

When I drove to work this morning, snow was falling on the freeway from Fontana to Rialto. That was pretty cool.
It was snowing a lot in Redlands. The car dealerships by the freeway looked like a ski resort parking lot after a storm.

Now, the sun is out and all the snow is gone.
Too bad. I'd love to try autocrossing on an icy course!

no hurry as long as you keep coming to the meets. concerend about the weather, it will be great and clear and cold. road conditions wil be fine maybe at the top of the mountain at little slushy but we can drive slow.

great pictures casey, that is 2 years in a row it snowed in beaumont. (last year when we went to the home openings as well)

vipers, show up in your P5...at least you will get points rather than a 0 (some is better than none). Can't miss the first event of the year man. Use the practice day to perfect your driving skills in the P5.

well its official.... my rx7 will NOT be at the event tomarrow.... i did make it to the dyno.. but we spent 6 hours trying to figure issues out... so @ 4500 rpm w/ the trailing spark not working, i made 196rwhp and 212 lbs.tq .... compare that to caseys (sorry casey..lol) the tuner said that when the issues are fixed, @ 14lbs. of boost, i should be around 400rwhp

so ill see you all tomarrow in the p5

so I take it replacing the trailing coil didnt work??? why would the coils not fire? is there power going into it?

well that sucks....

look at the bright side. at least you still get to drive a car tomorrow. you still get seat time. (dont get me wrong, I fell your pain.... I have been there.... oh how I have been there). but a day at the track in a P5 that runs is better then a day at work. the P5 should do well.

engine fire!!!!!!

well, i was on my way home from work, and bam... my car is on fire.... so what a perfect end to an already perfect day..... i havnt really assessed the damage yet, but from what i can tell, my injectors, fuel rails, wiring, manifold, and alot of vacuum lines were fried... but the deeper i dig, im sure there is alot more!

not to make lite of your situation, but arent you glad I gave you the fire extinguisher two days ago. "you know Jesse, you really should have one of these in your car when you have a car like this.. I want it back, but take it untill you can get one for yourslef.".... man I am glade I gave that to you. could you imagine if it just kept burning? right now it is only a couple hundred bucks. it could have been a total loss. ( I know the bright side of things is a little hard to see right now. but youll get this fixed.)

also looks to me that the manifold and fuel rails ar just fine... of course I am not looking right at it either. fuel lines also look fine???
