riccio, you should post your idea, see how many are interested.

I was even thining of haveing a normal meet, for the people that have to work in the afternoon, and have that one be like a "part 2".

anyways, just an idea! :D

OK - here's my idea:

For the next meet, I would like to invite our group to be my guest at the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes game on Saturday, June 11th at 7:30 PM. I provide tickets for up to 30 people.

There is a nice picnic area adjacent to the parking lot there. We can have a picnic before hand and then go in and enjoy the game. I am not sure if there are Bar-B-Q's there or not. I have spoken to Chris Bitters who is the VP of the Quakes, and if we want to do this, he will arrang to rope off (reserve) the parking spaces adjacent to this nice grassy area with the picnic tables.

For anyone who has not been to a Quakes game, the stadium is really first rate, and they do all they can to make it a good time for the spectators. I have full season tickets, and have stopped going to the Angels in Anaheim or the Dodgers games, since this is just as much fun, is local, and you get better seats!

Anyway - if you want to do this, please let me know, and let me know how many tickets you will need. I can accommodate about 30 (maybe even 40) people.

Jill/aka Riccio

P.S. Hope to have my RX8 all fixed up, just as good, if not better than before for this meet!

I know I would be interested. The stadium is less than 8 miles from my house, have been by a couple times, but have never gone to see a game. I would be interested in 2 tickets....any ideas on dates? I know you said a Saturday, but are we going to try and make it for the same date as our June meet?

Hi -

Yes - I'm trying to put together something on the next meet day. Maybe KC and Vipers will let us all sleep in and we could do a somewhat later meet?

Gret Meet Idea

YES count me in! I live just 10 min from the stadium and have been to quite a few games there, they are really fun and cozy. If possible I would need 3 tickets. About the BBQ's I not sure if they have any but I have a small bache (?) grill that I can bring.

Creating Different Meets in general is a great idea especially with the various seasons. Maybe there should be a thread for meet ideas only.

Riccio, how is your car coming along, will it be done in time for the next meet?

More 8's and Business Cards

Kraize was that your car I saw the other day. When I left work at Haven and Foothill I saw a silver? titanium? at the Deer Creek Bowling Alley. We need to get those business cards to hand out ready. I could of stuck it on his/her winshield. Anyone gone ahead and done that yet. Maybe get them in time for the next meet.

i think it sounds like a lot of fun. Krazie, i think you shjould come to the game anyways, i doubt any of us, (besides Riccio, and MeShell) are baseball fans. it still sounds liek fun.
mabe we can make it somethine like a "pre meet" in San bernardino (for those of us out here) and we will all caravan over to rancho. anyways. sounds great to me.

Hi Guys - Hope you are all having a nice Memorial Day Weekend!

For the June 11th Quakes Game - I need to know even more than the number of tickets, the number of cars that are coming, so that I can arrange with them to block off the prime parking spaces for us adjacent to the grassy picnic area.

A head count for the tickets would be helpful - I am trading in un-used previous game tickets to get the tickets for this game. It will help to have a number so they can set aside a section/area where we can sit together.

Thanks guys - hope to see you there - and really hope to have my RX8 completely back together by then!

I am a baseball fan. Guess I have to since I played almost 15 years of the darn sport.

I am coming, but Erica will be out of town that weekend...so only one ticket and one parking spot...if we are starting a headcount...

The game starts at 7:30. Gates open for the season ticket holders (that would be our group) at 6:30 - I like to enter about 6:45, when the season ticket holder line that forms before 6:30 is in. That gives you lots of time to get in the stadium, grab a hot dog and a drink and just check the whole thing out before the game.

I think as far as arriving at the Stadium - how about 5:30 or 6 PM - depends on how much hanging out in the parking lot y'all want to do.

If we want to combine it with a group ride just before, I'd suggest meeting at Pirate City at about 3-3:30 PM.

So, what's up. So far, I guess I have about 15 tickets and perhaps 10 car spaces?

Count me in...

1 parking space.
2 tickets.

Cesar -

BTW - Got a new mod on my car... A significant change in the appearance... (ooohhhh, the Mystery)
