YEAH!!!!! YEAH!!!!! Just got the e-mail about seven stock 8!!!! YEAH!!!! OCTOBER 8th, Mazda R&D center in Irvine still.
that just made my day! i am going to have to figure out how to get two cars there..... all well, ill figure something out.
Its about time i was getting a little worried there the last couple of months.

you know we all have to go together right!?!? that would be awsome!

most likely, ill have my dad drive the seven there on the trailer, and ill drive the 8 in. i know its like a half a year from now, but at least i have something to look forward to!
Seven stock 6 and seven stock 7 were a lot of fun! and i usually dont like car shows. this is more then just a car show. if you have never been, i highly recomend it!

I have finally been able to get on and read some of the post myself. Speeddemon keeps me up dated but I like to get on here myself. There is rain today so I get the day off. Hope fully there is no rain on the meet. I'm glade to see there is new B's. It's always fun to meet new people. I have to go but I'll see you all there. :D

So I am the NB (green) to the group and I got a Vel. Red. I am going to try to make it out there on the 14th but school is almost finished so we will see. I have so many different questions to ask, but I can probabley anwser them all on the forum. I basically want to see some faces and get more personal experainces. I love my car it is so much fun to drive. I think I flooded it today for the first time, (its an 04 from april) so maybe that will happen but I will try to take the necessay precauations. I gave my sister a ride in it for the first time, she couldn't figure out why it wouldn't tip over when I went around the corner so fast (lol). Everything is fun about this car, do I share similar feelings? See you saturday? I will try to car pool with Krazie Krave. C ya

I am definately starting to get that feeling...cause I have had such a withdrawal the last two weekends. The next two should be great. Our meet on the 14th, and another Malibu meet the following weekend (21st). I should be able to get my fix

hey, have you guys noticed that the Yellow RX-8 is the rarest color, but at our meets we have two of them. but we have YET to have a red, blue, or green one? thats wierd!

i am THINKING about going to the drags on Saturday. which means i would have to leave the meet around 11:30. anyways intereted in going with me? i Know Cesar would go if he could, but i dont think he can. i dont think he is even going to the meet.

I spent a week and half doped-up and in pain. The surgery was April 15th.
But that's not important, what's important is that I started driving the 8 on May 2nd. I thought I'd have to get a ride to the next meet, but turns out, I'm driving myself already. Actually, by the 14th, I probably won't have the huge 'Robocop' knee brace anymore.

I would definitely go to the drags, but I have two birthday parties to attend that day. I will be at the meet, but that's it.

Yah, I would be interested in going to the track. Maybe you could talk a little about it this meet. I saw a little hint of it on your editted video, looked like fun. Another member from the OC group (Razz1) goes to the track a lot with his 8 and loves it. I don't know if I would go this meet or not, we'll have to see how many new members show. I would like to show them a good time and not ditch out on the cruise. I really look forward to the cruise and I would like to see some new faces enjoy it as much as I do.

On another note, finally purchased a digital camera, so maybe we'll have several sources now for our next video compilation. I'll try and get some of the "other" stuff pictured...since we were heavy on the cruise shots last time.

Glad to see that Ceasar will show, I can't imagine he's in any condition to stop through some gears. Haven't heard any updates on Viper in awhile...is the 7 going to make it in primered condition, if at all? What about Red Baron? What about Krazie and the navigation DVD..so many things to get caught up on.

Only 4 more days Well, 5 if you count today...

Kwescott: Vipers will be there in his primered 7, Red Baron will not be able to make it as he will be in another state (at pinaple racing) for the tear down of the engine he blew up. he will make it to the next meet though.

I think the Tustin meet is every Thursday. If I go this week, it'll be my first time going... expect a nice little write up of the people there.. I'll be brutally honest if little dweebs are there and all they want to do is race..etc

Yes, it is every Thursday. The OC RX8 group only meets twice a month, but it looks like they are still going to meet in Cerritos, and then drive down to Tustin. Meet in Cerritos is at 9:00, then they plan on cruising down to Tustin at around 9:30.

I went for the first time two weeks ago. I showed up around 9:00, the OC guys showed up a little after 10:30 and most people had already left by then. From what I overhood, some of the people had been there since 6:00, but most showed up around 8:15/8:30. By 9:00, there was at least 50 cars down there. Lots of younger guys to be honest. Mostly just standing in groups looking at their own respective cars...not too much "sharing" going on...people mostly stuck to their own groups. This was exactly as I expected, four little groups sharing the same parking lot.

Not a lot of proprositioning for racing going on, at least I didnt over hear anything. There was two or three guys doing stupid shi* as they left, but none of that reving engines, blasting hip hop stuff that brings the cops. Parking lot enforcement drove by on two occasions while I was there, but they didn't stop or even question anyone, even when it got closer to 11:30. More or less, they were driving by to make sure things were still civil.

I'm going, but I doubt any of the other San Bernardino guys are gonna show up...its a good 50 to 70 miles to get to Tustin. I'm coming, I figure, you only live once, and why not spend an evening with other 8's instead of infront of the Xbox. Anyways, see ya there.

So kwescott convinced me. I usually go to the OC meet but it has become disorganized lately and very few people show up. So I think i may sacrifice the 90 minute drive and come out there. I hate to be annoying, but can anyone PM me the info on where we meet and when? It would be greatly appreciated!

AdictiveRX, GREAT!!! your more then welcome to come one out. we usually try to stay somewhat organized.

the meeting location is Pirate City Tattoo Parking lot in San Bernardino. its on E street accross from the Pep Boys. go to www.piratecitytattoo.com on the front page there is a map.

the meeting time is 9:00 a.m. i recomend getting there at 9:00 this gives you time to talk to everyone and check out everyones cars before heading out for the drive.

we are usually there for an hour or so, (untill everyone gets board) and then we head out on a drive. now dont get worried, a lot of new comers think we go on a race, it is not a race, it is a nice scenic fun drive, and everyone tries to not get stupid.

after the drive we all go to lunch, (at least the people that dont have to go to work or somehting like that) this gives us time to talk about the drive we just went on. and future meets.

anyways, hope you can make it! :D

oh yeah, and i wont be going to the drags, ill just wait untill next time. i'd rather spend my time with MeShell, Vipers, Riccio, Zero, Kwescott, Cesar, RedBaron, KraziKave, Scotty305, ....... and who ever else i cant think of right this very second

Ok, I'm gonna stop being a pu$$y and actually ask, but I want honest feedback and it will not hurt my feelings either way. I have a close friend who is really interested in going, but doesn't have an 8. He understand the car club thing, as his dad/mom own Miata's and there is a sense of family and not wanting "outsiders". I invited him to come as a passenger...and indicated that there would probably be someone who would be willing to give him a ride on the cruise so I don't have to cruise with three in my car (my girlfriend enjoys the cruise and will be coming as well)....but he asked about possibly bring his car and bringing up the rear of our pack. He has a 98 "snailed" Civic and has beaten me a couple of times. So I know he will keep up on the straights. Cool guy, would fit well with our group. So, I guess there are two questions..again, honesty please. (1) Is the group accepting of a Civic bringing up the rear....(2) Is someone willing to have a passenger (if the Civic option is not ok).

My friend is accepting of answers either way...he totally understands the car scene, but he is just not interested in meeting a group of "ricers"...he just seems to have nothing in common with other Civic owners....

On another note (I promise no paragraph...), anyone planning on the "pre-meet" at Farmer Boys. I will be there at 745 if anyone would like to have some breakfast. Krazie, are you still meeting up at the park with the new members that had planned on coming...they still coming, and are you planning on bringing them for breakfast or just cruising straight through to Pirate?

I was just thinking about the Rotary Extreme guys that came the first cruise I cam to...any chance that they may show up again with their 7's and 8's.

yes, we are meeting at beryl park rx8squared and lesper say they'll be there.

we might cruise to the pre-meet (farmer boys) or go straight to the meet... still undecided.
