Keith,

I like the idea of doing a seperate thread for the calender.
If it's a fullsize callender, maybe we can do a collage on the actual month.
Sort of like the sigs you made.
I'd like to have several pics of my car in August.
Also, for the cover, maybe we can do pictures of our cars that don't make it to the month.

And if there is no room for me, if Lesper could use this shot (https://www.rx8club.com/attachment.p...chmentid=65894) I could just pretend it's my car Hey, my birthday is in March too.

Ok, update on the calendar. I called Kinkos and here were some answers to questions I had.

(1) Could I submit the pictures by email.

Response-Yes, make sure they are jpeg files and that they will fill an 8.5 x 11 paper format. When the files are sent, amke sure you indicate the month that the specific picture is for.

(2) Is there an extra charge for multiple pictures for one month (photo collage like our sigs).

Response-No extra charge, the only extra fees are for specific indications in the calendar section, like if you wanted June 22nd to read "Keith's Birthday". Youu get five of these for 5 bucks. Basically a dollar a piece, but come in 5 group bunches. (now why you would want to do this when you can simply write this is yourself is beyond me, but anyways).

(3) What is the turn around, how long does this take?

Response-You can get a proof of the entire calendar, as it would be printed in 24 hours for approval. Then calendars would be ready the next 24 hours. If no proof is requested, than calendars can be ready the first 24 hours.

(4) Is there a discount with multiple orders?

Response-Only on purchases above and beyond 100, and then it is a 10% discount.

Hope this helps. So it looks like we can have this ready for our next meet, as long as people finish submitting pictures, and get files ready by the 7th or so. As for Zootender, I see no problem with you having December, as long as you can get out there and get some pics so we can help you choose which one to use. Night shots are so hard...they need to be perfect. Remember, these things are going to be blown up to 8.5 x 11. Small pictures tend to show smaller flaws...the bigger the pick, the greater resolution needed to make them look picture quality (rather than blown up onn a xerox look).

This is what I would recommend. For those who have photoshop, or any other photo editor...please use the original, not the one's posted on the forum. These have been degraded for posting purposes. We need to send the selected pictures, in their original format by email so that we get the best possible picture quality.

I'm going to put up a new thread in our western section. Please submit all pictures that you have that are your favorites, and please indicate what month they are for.

I did that once in high school. My parents were gone for the weekend. I started telling everyone, and eventually it turned into 250 people at my house, with people urinating in the spa, and using up all the hard alcohol, filling it back up with water so it looked like it was never touched. The night ended with my older brother having to call the cops...and as the cops were pushing everyone from the backyard, through the front door, I was sending a select few up the stairs. We continued to party after the cops left, but this time, with ony those I really wanted to come over...and all the others were sent home by the cops. Sometimes, having an open invitation is a bad thing. It was, however, one of the best nights of my high school life

I am looking forward to playing roulette new years eve..any poker?

re: New Years,
I'll be there, and Kristy will be coming too. Is it true that people are being asked to dress like it's a 20's speakeasy?
Because that sounds fun, but I don't want to be the only one wearing a fedora, you know?

re: Calendar,
When are you going to have it made? If there's time, I'd like to get in on a group shot.

re: Autocross,
For anyone who's not already on 'the list,' registration will probably open sometime this week. There is a thread on the www.solo2.com message boards (need to register to view), by Marshall Grice.

$100 for a set of eyelids not bad . I saw Outlaws Extreme (i think that's who it was) silver 8 w/the eyelids and it looked pretty good. Though i don't like how it bulges out above the car's surface. If somehow you can get the lens cover modded to fit the eyelids level w/the rest of the car's surface....
