http://animal.discovery.com/tv/whale-wars/about/

"The Society's fight to eradicate Japanese whaling on the high seas — where international laws are interpreted by different countries and organizations in different ways — utilizes some aggressive techniques, including ramming and disabling whaling ships; disrupting whale carcass processing; engaging in physical entanglement; and boarding and dispersing fleets of whaling vessels."

Aggressive doesn't quite describe the tactics. Those are the same tactics used by pirates. I can't believe we've fallen to such a low that we're basically encouraging eco-terrorism so we can be entertained at 9 Eastern. This is crap. Discovery isn't getting another minute of my viewing time on any of their channels.

yah... green peace usually just puts their own vessels in-between the hunting vessel and the prey. but, they usually don't attack or board the hunting vessel.

a lot of the eco/ green fanatics are just as wacko as terrorist extremists... sad

So I'll call Adam tomorrow to confirm, but how does a brunch before hitting the road on Sunday sound to the people thinking about going on the bonus drive?

Well we have a bit of a problem since I need to start late morning to accommodate your sleep schedule and usually people are looking to eat around that time! (^_^)

hahahahaha.... i'm such a prima donna eh? :P no problem. food is okay...

off-topic, but i just logged into the bmw forum, which i haven't visited in AGES... and the entire "new posts" section is almost entirely consumed with threads of ppl asking for "help! how to fix this and how to fix that" LOL

if i were in the market to buy a bmw and saw a forum like that, sirens would be going off in my head like "wow these cars break down a lot eh?" hahahaha

Before I bought my RX-8 I spent about six months hanging out in the problems section of rx8club. You have no idea how scary that made my decision seem like.

Kelvin and I had a chat about leasing and the reasons why to at the auto show. We pretty much came to the idea of "that", in referring to the snapshot of problems, as being the problem and leasing as the solution. Considering what the other guy said on the other thread about the cars being 10 years old, well folks, that's why rich people lease and still have lots of money...they don't spend on repairing it as much. LOL.

P.S. Would love to go on the Sunday drive, but I'm going on another drive I was invited to from Hollywood to Malibu.

Your Hollywood to Malibu drive pales in grandeur to our Sunday drive.

In all seriousness, we need to leave a bit earlier than anticipated. How does a 10 am departure time sound to people here?

I think everyone had an extremely good time on the bonus run today. I think this is it for 2008; I'm going to take a little vacation from scheduling drives as I've driven many hundreds of miles of mountains the past few weeks.

A new tire worth looking at and possibly buying. It's nearly at the price of an RT-615 but with an R-comp feel supposedly. Kumho Ecsta XS

if anyone is buying tires. be sure to buy it on ebay. Tire direct is on there. They are having a 30% cashback which rt615 for 245/40/17 cost like 600 dollars, you can get it for 400. So ya just giving people head up. It will go down and up buy when christmas is coming, it will be up to 30% in no time. If you need help pm me i'll step u through.
