245/35 all around will be the safest option. I have the same size and offset and with 255/35 I rub a touch on the wheel liner up front. FWIW I'm thinking it may because KDW2s run wider than other brands of the same size. Check the thread below to see pics of what I'm talking about.

You'll clear fine with either size.

Not trying to be an *** because you obviously have a good knowledge on how wheels and tires fit. But I'm curious why think that when I have a thread showing otherwise?

Anyone else running 255/35/19 on a similar set up care to chime in.
The thread pdxhak linked to leads on that the kdw2s he was (is) running are a bit "chunkier" than advertised. Im currently looking at Toyo T1Rs and was initially leaning towards the 255/35/19 since they are closer in measurements to the OE setup.

Ok so before I make the purchase 18x9.5 +30 with 275/35 tires on all corners will fit on tein-s tech springs. I am just really scared I have never bought rims for any car I have had.

you will need a fender roll and possibly some camber work

I mean it's possible that you will rub the fender liner on the inside. You will be fine on the outside if you roll the fenders, but you will probably still rub the liner..

you must have misread the size, 8.5" +40 with a 255 tire will easily clear

FWIW, 255/40R-18 will easily fit on the stock 18x8.

I found this out because the place that I purchased my tires from ordered the wrong tires and placed the wrong sized tires on my stock wheels.

255/40R-18 sumitomo htrz-IIIs weigh 29lbs each!! Because of their mistake they gave me 235/40R-18 pricing on the 255s. I would like to say i'm mad because of how goofy they look (my dad thinks they look cool...but he's and old and used to old tires at 70+ series sidewalls), however, part of me is excited to see how much slower i am at the track...while being faster in the turns maybe!

The question is will 255/35/19 fit easily and not 255/40/18.

I run 255/40-18 Hoosier DOT-R Wet Radials for rain tires when racing

but that didn't seem to be the case in your reply chain

Team you are missing my first post.

Post #2070 HyJynx V asks question.

Post #2071 I say there may be an issue and provided a thread showing an actual setup that has a problem.

Post #2072 imput1234 says either will be fine.

Post #2073 I ask imput1234 why he thinks that when I just provided a thread there could be an issue with proof.

Legend: yes, those wheels will fit

and best to just stay within 245/40 - beyond that will kind of be impractical

My question with the tires, is because im looking into buying second hand tires (broke right now)...

so 245/40 would be ok, but what about 245/45? would there be any problems with a slight bigger size there?

hmmm...don't quote me on this - but seeing my current wheels gap on the stock 18's and my swift spring drop...45 sidewall will be kinda cutting it close...that's just IMO

^You will clear the front brake fine, and if you have a drop you might need a slight roll, depending on how much lower the car is.
