Will It Fit Thread

If you have stock suspension, you'll be fine.

19x9, +42 offset, 225/40. Possibly looking at an inch or so lower, not sure yet. Still looking at potential suspension upgrades.

First post on the forum! Looking for some background information regarding a project rx8 I'm looking to purchase. I already have the wheels, but I'm not sure if they will fit or not.

They will fit, weak specs and tire sizes though. Far from ideal, especially depending on the suspension setup.

What do you mean by weak specs? The tire sizes I just found on TireRack for the width and diameter, so I'm definitely open to change on that regard.

edit: I haven't made any purchases on tires. So far I'm entirely in the research phase. I'm looking at total costs now for work that I would like to do to the car. If there are better tire pairs than that, please tell me. The OEM wheels that are on the car now will be used for winter tires while the other set I have will be summer/cruising tires, not necessarily performance. I just want to know if it will fit under the fenders or will I have to install fender flairs, since I can't find any information that shows the distance from the wheel hub to outer edge of the fender.

That is a fairly common size. Did you search this thread before asking?

Front 19 x 9 +47 - 245/40/R19
Rear 19 x 10 + 30 - 275/35/R19

Currently using Tein Super Street + EDFC

Wheels are from a 370Z, just interested if they would fit.

Thanks in advance

Fronts will be fine, rears are gonna scrub, with 19x10's you'll want around +45 offset.

Thanks mate.

Will rolling the rear guards fix/help? Or are these going to poke wildly?

Cheers.

265/35/19 rear tires will work, 275 might still rub when the suspension flexes.

It will depend on height (and spring rates) but it is going to need some work to fit. I am at 19 x 9.5 +27 rear with a 255/35-19. And I would recommend a 245/35-19 front, I am at 19 x 8.5 +24 front with a 245/35-19.

My buddy was running the same spec wheels as me (within 1-2mm of offset) with 275/35-18's in the rear and stiff springs and rolled fenders and he rubbed like crazy.

I plan on going for some WORK VS-XX's (stepped lip)

FRONT - 19×9.5 +32 - 235/35/19 - A-Disk (72mm Dish/Lip)

REAR - 19×10.5 +42 - 265/30/19 - O-Disk (84mm Dish/Lip)

Car is lowered on TEIN's about 1.5 - 2"

Look into 9krpmrx8's set up and do a little calculation... I am guessing that you'll be OK with the wheels. The rear tires might rub, though.

Hello, just concered about my rear set up. Right now its set on 18x8.75 xxr 551 lowered about 1 inch on hr springs. Tires are 235/40. They started rubbing after i added 8mm spacers. Im shaving down the inside of the fender to clear space but my question is, whats the widest width and smallest aspect ration i can go without running into complications? Im planning on going lower on tein springs soon if that info helps.
