Should be fine. I have 19x8.5 +36 (2mm farther out) in the front and no issues. Rear will have even more clearance.

Can anyone recommend me a decent 18" wheel and tyre combo?
Car is street driven and occasionally tracked. I'm not after hellaflush but drivability and decent looks.

My car is lowered 20mm on H & R Springs.

Thanks
Anyone?

Hey I'm looking into a set of SSR GTV01's. I want to get 19x9.5 square and my options are a +35mm or +20mm offset. I'm assuming the +20mm won't fit?

Also I'm thinking tire size of 245/35/19. I have Tein S-Techs on Koni Yellows. Will this fit with no rubbing? I'm willing to do a fender roll also, if so would a 255/35/19 tire fit?

I can only comment on the rear, but at stock height and no fender work with 19x9.5 +43, 265's didn't fit but 255's had a decent amount of clearance. Would it be enough to run 255's on +35? I doubt it, but a slight roll should be enough. +20? I would think so with a serious roll and maybe some camber, but I'd suggest one of the experts comments there. I bet the bumper tabs would be an issue though and need shaved.

Fronts I have no clue.

Ok thanks to some wear and a big chunk of metal I need a pair of tyres I currently run 255/40/18 on 18 / 9.5 et38 rims I run pretty low and my rears have slight negative camber.

Problem im having is 255/40 seems to be an obscure size and I cant get them in any decent performance tyre so im wondering what else I can get on with out rubbing or ride issues

So would 18x9.5 +30 on a 265/35 and a fender roll work all around or does "without major mods" mean a fender roll was already needed for the +38? That's with Tein/Koni combo. Prefer to leave bumper tabs and side lights alone.

+30 is close. Probably would need more than a roll on a soft suspension like that.

+38 may/probably won't need a roll.

Depends on the tire chosen

^ So the only issue would be with the fender itself, not the bumper tabs or side markers? Is the issue with the softer suspension more due to the width of the tire or the sidewall height? Just looking at dimensions for different sized tires near that 265/40. Seems like 255/40 would fit fine with a roll as it should only be 3mm further out than the 265/40 on a +38mm.... unless of course the sidewall height is my issue where a 275/35/18 would give me 9mm less sidewall?

Not 265/40. 265/35. 275/35 is going to be too much in both regards.

Ah damn, was a long day, don't know why I was doing 265/40..... But anyways it will be the same 3mm difference between the 38mm offset with 265/35 and the 30mm offset with 255/35 .... So please bear with me while I try and wrap my head around this.....

1) the 265/35 +30mm offset will be very tight with a fender roll but it's possible that it will just fit? Bumper tabs and side markers won't be an issue?

2) the 255/35 +30mm offset being a smaller sidewall and width should tuck under the fenders with a roll quite easily enough for the Koni/Tein suspension?

Really appreciate the advice!!

It required more than a roll for me to run 9.5 +30 with a 265/35. Tabs had to be trimmed and the fronts needed the ridge behind the fender liner to be flattened a bit. I'm quite a bit lower than you and have a much stiffer suspension though so +/-

Okay thanks.... I get my fair share of rubbing with these 305/30/R26's and a 2" drop so I think I will go the 255/35/R18 route on the 8.

Thanks JB!

I'm looking to start moving towards a sleeker design for my 8 and I found these rims which would look really good for it.

ADR Sickle
Size: 19"x8" front, 19"x10" rear
Off Set: +35mm front, +35mm rear

Ebay said they would fit but I live an a town which consist of hills exclusively so i'm not willing to sacrifice myself for looks. What type if any rubbing will I get with these, also what would be a normal size tire for these. I'm also willing to raise it, in my area you can't afford the repair bills on a low car, what would i be looking at in terms of lift to eliminate rub.

If you don't want rubbing issues the easiest thing to do (since it seems like you're new to wheel fitment - not hating, I'm no expert) would be to keep it at the stock size, 18x8 +50. It won't look as nice as a flush fitment but you won't be turning your poor RX-8 into a monster truck.

Would 18x9.5 +20mm (Front and Rear) cause any rubbing on stock suspension?
