Because a wide tire that doesn't come up to temp all the way across the contact patch is a waste and not as grippy as a skinnier tire at full temp across the contact patch. Almost everyone that is serious about the track here will tell you that a sticky 245 is better if you're NA. If you're boosted you might be able to use all of a 265 of more.
Autox can use more tire because you're pretty much going to be on cold tires for most of your run.

I would get the wheels and mount tires on them. Then I would jack up the car and remove the other wheels that are on there. Then I would put the new wheels/tires onto my car. Be sure to tighten lugnuts. Lower the car back down. Drive away.

This may have been answered already but I'm wanting to go either 18x9 or 18x9.5 all around with a +12 to +30. I'm on stock height so will these fit with no rubbing?

Right now I have the stock wheels just wondering if I can get some new wheels with out having to do major rolling/fender lining work. I feel like the only issue with the new wheels would be the offset but I'm awful at figuring out what I would need so Thought I'd see what the experts thought.

It seems tirerack.com only offers me enkei rpf1's in bright silver, @ 45mm offset and 8.5 in the front and 9.5 in the rear.
I am in need of 4 new rims, I won't buy unless they are black so I am awaiting their reply. I am also going for an aggressive fit so obviously I don't want to buy unless I discuss them first.
I don't know much about rims and tires yet but am slowly learning.
So far what I know is, stock offset is +50mm so +45 won't be a huge change. And that I won't need a fender roll with a 9.5 inch rear rim unless I go with a significantly low offset. I guess my big question is, with some camber set, would this be an aggressive fit?

I guess aggressive in my eyes is top flush with camber set aggressive.

FYI - 18x9 +29 with 265/35/18 Nitto NT05 fit with minimal modification (on reasonably low coilovers).
I had to barely roll the rear and i removed most of the rear bumper tab just to be safe. That thing is pretty sharp so i didn't want to chance it. The front did not need a roll but i had to bend up the front most tab to get the fender liner out of the way. This was only an issue during large bumps or on bumpy pavement while loading up one side when driving spiritedly
Now my only problem is rubbing on the back side of the fender well at full lock on the driver's side. Actually i can't even get to full lock. I've worn through the fender liner but its still rubbing on the sheet metal. What are you guys doing to avoid this?

I had that problem a lot but there really is not a fix. You might be able to hammer it back but I did not want to do that. I eventually changed tires to "resolve" the issue.
