^He had it on his heading: "I'm about to buy some 18x8.75 +25."
The width will be ok with that offset on the 245/40's as long as you're not lowered, otherwise, you may rub a little.

Alright I"m looking at some wheels locally and I'm curious if they will fit or not. The wheel and tire specs are as followed...
18x9.5 +22
255/35/18
Car is lowered on coilovers so I can mess with the height if need be. Currently low but not slammed by any means.

Well, with that offset, you will need to mess with your camber; even if you try to flush it with a smaller width tires, you will eat up your tires.

If this is too aggressive what would you recommend getting? Ideally I want a 18x9.5 and run a 255/35 and be as flush as possible but still be able to rail the **** out of the car on a back road.

255 is pretty meaty. I ran 245/45 on a +38 offset with my 18x9.5 wheels and I was rubbing at the rear(fenders aren't rolled) and ate up my front fender-well liners and had a bad front tires camber wear. If you're considereing that wheels and tire size(18x9.5-255/35), you may have to get a set of wheels with less offset, around +35 to +40. Below is a member here with a +40. Mine are back on stock height with the bronze wheels.

I am looking at buying 18x10.5 with +35 offset, I assume I will have to do some fender rolling. I am looking at 265-285 35/18. Any idea how much work it will take to minimize tire rub. The car is not lowered yet, but will be in the foreseeable future... I don't wanna do any of those whack camber adjustments. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Tire Size (rear): 265/35R19
Wheels size is based on LEXUS GS 350 F Sport

Does anyone know if 235/55/18 tyres fit under the RX-8? Or will it drag in the chassis when I turn the wheels or if the chassi suspends down?
I found some sweet "18 with 235/55 tyres on them, but it's quite far away and don't want to find out when I'm there that they don't fit.

235/55/18 I think is stock wheels for CX-5s. And yes, it will rub. Ideally, you want to stay around "35 - 40" sidewall profile; may be "45" if the tires' width is 225 or 235.
My current tires are 225/45 ZR 18 95Y , and really worn out
I was thinking of getting 255/40ZR18/XL99(Y) same brand & tire : Michelin Pilot Super Sport
Do I have to account for the rim width? How do I do that?
I want to know if they would fit the car correctly.
Also, doing the math, the current tires are 101.25 tall , and the new ones would be 102 tall.
How would this affect the ride or speedometer?
And can I do the change without any other impacts?
I'm also thinking this would help in not getting the rim so scratched.
