Based on that, I would say a wheel/tire package that is between 20 and 30 mm farther outboard than stock will get the look you want. I would suggest 8.5" wide wheels minimum, only because if you are going to spend money on aftermarket wheels, why would you buy the same size as stock. You can go as large at 9.5" or 10" wide. 245/40R18 Tires would work on 8.5" to 9" wheels, but I would suggest 255/35R18 or 265/35R18 on 9.5" or wider. Just surf around the forum and look at what other people are running and see if you like the look.

I would suggest getting your drop first though. The 8 looks odd with a nice wheel/tire set at stock height.

Yeah you'll need to roll the fenders. Great choice in coilovers, I'm rocking the same. Depending on how much you want to slam you may have to shave your rear tabs.

agreed. Also, instead of buying a new kit and hood, buy a nicer set of wheels... just a suggestion. Especially since you're going with a great set of coilovers, not that megan racing bullshit. Even varrstoens would be an upgrade from Rotas.

I want to stretch the tires some so I Won't have to roll my fenders. Other than looks, could I Drive The 18x9.5 +20 And the 225/35 or 40's temporarily on stock suspension, without issue.. I've Searched 225's on 9.5's and they don't look Too bad ...

I just picked up these Rota's for a pretty good deal $600 and pretty much new. As far as the body work goes, my insurance co is picking up the tab .. I just got to pick then parts I wanted..

Was I mistaken... Isnt the name of this thread "Will it Fit"....I value all of your opinions But, If we all had the greatest idea about rx8 suspension no-one would have any questions, .. I just wanted know If the wheels would fit.. everyone has they're ideas of what the car should look like.. I'm just looking for the best option for my car.. perfect example Is a set if 20's I had this year I got a lot of love and hate from the car community in the end I did not regret my first wheel choice because it accomplished exactly what I was going for .. they were "status Grinder" wheels, look em up and you will see what I'm talking bout

225/35s are an awful idea. Overstretched and on the sketchy side of weight ratings as well. A 245/40 will be fine and skill give a little stretch. Look back over the last 10 pages and find at last one other person who asked the same thing. Read!

been looking at getting some new tyres as my Toyo T1R,s are starting to wear on the back and as the T1R is discontinued ive been checking out the newer R1R track and road tyre which seems to get decent press the only problem is size im running some work CR Kai,s 9.5x18 wrapped in 255x40x18 but the only sizes close to that are 245x40 255x35 or 265x35 there site say the 245 or the 265 are rated for 9.5 rims but what would be best I run quite a low ride (not as low as some) but low enough to need negative camber on the back so whats best or am I better of sticking with the size I have and find another tyre.

Will fit with fender mods. My opinion (and I know you already said you didn't care to hear it), is to put 245/40R18's minimum on a 9.5" wheel. You will already be modifying your fenders to fit the 225/45, so why not just modify them a little more to fit tires designed to fit on 9.5" wheels?

The lower you go, the more negative camber you can achieve, which helps the wheels/tires tuck under the fender. Performance is thrown out the window when you get to this extreme point though.
