Thanks Atilla, that is more of what I was looking for.. And rolling my fenders isn't a big deal, I just wanted to avoid it if possible. So that was the input I needed, because yea, now that I think about it thats not a good idea lol.

So J, even though you were kindof an thanks for the input.

And now that I've thought about it more I don't want to weigh down the car with too big of wheels. I'll probably Just do 8.5 all the way around, lowered, with rolled fenders. What should I be looking at for offset to get as close as possible without having to worry about rubbing or anything else?

Seriously though, roll the fenders and go 9.5 all around with about +35-40 offset. 8.5 would be +30

Ok, thanks man. wouldn't 9.5 make it feel pretty sluggish though? with all the extra weight?

Wanting to get more flush than I am now (which is stock == not at all).

Currently running stock height, will be changing that in the late spring with a set of Tein S...

Wanted to make sure that I am not going to have to camber my wheels or roll my fenders or any of that stuff.

Front: 18 x 8.5 + 45
Read: 18 x 9.5 + 35 (or +45).

Any opinions?

ok im not looking for something to wide i dont want to have to mess around with the fenders. i dont want my tires to stick out from the side of the car either. Sorry i aint good with Wheels and tires at all so a bit lost. ive been reading up a bit . As for you saying to go wider, what do you have in mind here is the whole list of the wheels i can get in this model:

16" x 7" 4/100 & 4/114.3 42 offset
16" x 7" 5/100 & 5/114.3 42 offset
16" x 7" 5/112 & 5/120 42 offset
18" x 8" 5/114.3 & 5/120 20 offset
18" x 8" 5/112 & 5/120 40 offset
18" x 8" 5/110 & 5/115 40 offset
18" x 8" 5/108 & 5/114.3 40 offset
20" x 8.5" 5/114.3 & 5/120 20 offset
20" x 8.5" 5/114.3 & 5/120 40 offset
20" x 8.5" 5/112 & 5/115 40 offset

lemme know what you think i want to fit lowprofile tires on the wheels aventually so keep that in mind but im running my normaly 225/45/r18 tires right now

also when i use the wheel fitment tool on there site i get:
18x8 - 20mm - 5/114.3
18x8 is too wide for that vehicle.
20mm is a too low offset for a 18x8 wheel.

18x8 - 40mm - 5/114.3
18x8 is too wide for that vehicle.

anything but those

btw, take 5 minutes out of your enormously busy day to skim through about 20 pages of this thread. You'll be amazed at what you find.

My friend had a set of custom, staggered rims on his 01 BMW 325 which he totaled. The rears are 275/35/19 & the fronts are 235/45/19. I have the 04 RX8 AT with the factory 16" rims
1) Will they fit without rubbing?
2) Are they too big for my 04 RX8's auto transmission?
3) He didnt know the offset/inset; can I measure with a tape measure?

Thanks,

1) no way to know without you giving some info
2) basically anything bigger than stock is more than necessary (ie probably gonna make you slower) for an 04 auto
3)yes if you google what/how to measure

No they won't fit. RX8 bolt pattern is 5x114 BMW bolt pattern is 5x120. You'll need adapters.
