I'm about to purchase new wheels and I'm looking at 18x9.5 +20 or +38
Will these fit front and rear with no issues?
The tire size would be 235/40/18
Thanks for the help
I'm on stock height now by the way

Goin with a little stretch are you? I would think that with the stretch the +38s should fit. The +20s are going to take some work. A roll here, some camber there...

Unnecessary stretch is the dumbest looking thing ever. Followed closely by necessary stretch. +20 would look hideous

Thanks guys that helps a lot! I'm not trying to stretch on purpose but I came from driving a 240 and so it's a little different when I'm searching for wheels.
So 18x9.5 all around +38 with a 245/40 will fit no issues?

I wasn't sure what tire size I'd need. I thought 235 or 245 because the site suggested the 235/40

I can't see your sig on my phone right now, I'll check my laptop later. But, whatever tire size would fit best and look the best is what I'll go with.. Which would you guys get on a 18x9.5 rim?
A lot of people have been putting 18x8 and up front and I'm not understanding why if a 9.5 inch wheel will fit? Maybe because I'm not lowered?

For one thing, offset plays a part in fitment, in combination with wheel width.

Whatever "looks best" is up to you, dude. I love stretched tires and I love beefy tires, while J8635621 hates everything that's done for purely aesthetic reasons.

It's your call.

165 on a 9.5" tire?

Done

Granted, it's a 13" wheel, but that's not the point.

What look are you going for? Or are you going for pure performance?

A lot of people put 8" wide wheels on these cars because if the offset is kept the same then none of the suspension geometry is fucked with and the dynamics of the car are kept optimum.

That is strange as 255 would be tiny stretch and 265 would be pretty much square. What site would that be that actually recommends a 235 on a 9.5" wheel?

Wheeldude.com
I think it also recommends 245,255, and 265. Not necessarily recommending but listing options for tires

Haha that picture was random and looked pretty weird to me.
I'm going for looks mostly.. I use my 8 for daily driving and I do now track it . I don't want to mess anything up like suspension wise but I just want to have a nice, clean 8.

I like the flush look, and I know I wont be flush on stock height but I'd like the fender gap to be as minimal as possible without a roll or anything

+38 is gonna have the wheel beyond the fender in front most likely. Stock height go for +45. If you don't ever plan on lowering the car, get 9+40 with 245/40 and be done with it.

Okay, not sure if they offer that size! But I'll check. I'm wanting white varrstoen 2.2.1 or rota grid in white
Ran the white rota grids on my s13 and had no problems so not sure which of the two are better quality

I saw a pic of 9k running a 245-40 with +40 and I like the look so I'll try to find a rim in that size

And so I think what you are saying is with a 9 inch wheel, go with + 40? And 9.5 go with a +45?

Lowering your car you mean? Look at a ghetto car with 24s. It is not the same look as a lowered car

Yes I know that but I'd like to keep stock height because of our crappy roads here in Oklahoma
