What model is your RX8? Why would you want to run staggered RX7 wheels anyway?

Because I have them and nobody wants to buy them. So instead of the letting the tires dryrot I figured I'd use them.

Not really a will it fit question, but if I want to use my CX-7 wheels to commute to track days that are far away, would that be a generally good or bad idea?

Specs:
18x7.5 +52 (50 or 52, not entirely sure)
225/35/18

I also have a set of Mazda 3 wheels, 17x6.5 +52, but clearance might start getting sketchy...

oh lawd...

your car is gonna look like a japanese chevy.

fyi people are running 11's up front in the +20 offset. You're talking about doing +25 with 8.5 and stretching tires...

math...it helps

You can but speedo will be way off and gas mileage will be even worse due to shortened sidewall.

should I go with 225/45?

Here's what I get for going from OEM 225.45.19 to 225.35.18, left column old right new:

Diameter 685.1mm 614.7mm
Circumference 2152.3mm 1931.1mm
Poke 54.6mm 43.3mm
Inset 148.6mm 147.3mm
Speedo error 0% 11.45%
Reading at 30mph 30mph 33.44mph
Reading at 60mph 60mph 66.87mph
Ride height gain 0mm -35.2mm
Arch gap loss 0mm -35.2mm

And this if I put 45s on (35 was just for looks on the 3)

Old New
Diameter 685.1mm 659.7mm
Circumference 2152.3mm 2072.5mm
Poke 54.6mm 43.3mm
Inset 148.6mm 147.3mm
Speedo error 0% 3.85%

I know they will fit on stock suspension but I was just hoping someone might have a clue wether they will be ok with the drop before I fit the lowering springs as I've heard h&r tend to drop quite low so just wondered if it's worth a try or Deffinatley won't fit? Cheers again guys!

Looking at 18 X 8.5 35 offset running 255/35. From what I have read it seems like it should be fine but I just wanted to make certain before ponying up. This is good right?

Noob time

When you say rolling diameter, do you mean circumference?

Or do you mean diameter...in which case why say "rolling"?

no i meant diameter. I could have said outside diameter instead if it clears it up.

Exclamation 06 Miata wheels on my 06 Rx8?

I found a cheap set of rims for an '06 Mazda Miata.
They are 17x7, 5x114.3 bolt pattern, 55mm offset

Will they fit on my '06 Rx8 with a dropped Tokico D-Spec Suspension?
I have 17" wheels with tire size: 225/45 on the front & 215/55 on the back

Thanks!!!

The only issues you'll have are making them look good or perform better than stock...
