I feel like this may be a little overkill on tire homework but I found a good deal on a set of tires but im not sure if they are going to fit with my current set up. They are 275/35/18 and would be going on a 18x9 +29. Im currently on Koni yellows with Tien S-tech springs.
I'm all for fender rolling but i just want to make sure i'll have enough room even after rolling the fenders. If you have an opinion on how much rolling would be necessary i would appreciate that feedback as well.

I promise there is actually tread still left on these tires. This is just a flopped camber worn tire

Ok so this is my first post to these forums and I have a couple questions regarding fitment..
I am all stock right now, and am looking at XXR 527's in 18x8.75 +20 or +35
I am trying to get further out from under the fender cause obviously stock in pretty deep in there.
If I am looking for flush or even the smallest bit of poke which offset would you guys recommend?

I personally would go with the more aggressive 18x9.75 +20 but it would require some more effort to fit and/or stretched tires.
Also, you wont be "flush" unless you lower your car. this setup will look odd if you are at stock height.

The car is for spirited 2 hour weekday loops, street/hwy only. Looks are not important in this decision, only fit and improved driveability.
The 255/40/18 is the best match to the stock wheel diameter of 26.1", which is a plus for me as far as preserving the factory ride with this wheel/tire change.
245/40 seems to be a very popular setup, I'm wondering if people avoid 255/40 for a reason.

just realised my front tire are worning much more than the rest, would like to change a set of new tires but afriad of rubbing the rear with oversize....
would a 235/40/18 works fine with default suspension without rubbing???

For flush/poke, go with the 18x8.75 +20. They shouldn't require too much work to fit.

If you plan on staying stock height forever, it should work out fine for you. If you can tell the difference in ride quality from .2" of sidewall though, you are a special person.
I know nothing about your car. Don't change the tires in pairs. Get a whole new set.

R: 17x10 +35
(And recommended tire size)

No tires = a problem
9.75 +20 will be poke on just about any height rx8 (stock fenders) probably. Who wants poke? Not me
I don't know snow stuff. I'd imagine it would work.
That's the minimum drop of the Tein basics? It will sit outside the fender by a little bit probably and the tires are shorter than stock, so it will be more wheel gap. Won't look good, but since you are looking at 5zigen I think you expected that anyway.
Has the possibility of being awesome but requires permanent modifications to the car.
