Snow update
OK... I had an appointment today where I had to drive 70 miles through mountainous terrain, (I live in rural - wait, most of Wyoming is rural - :D) from home to Colorado. When I left, there was a light rain falling, but just as I got into Colorado, the rain turned into snow. BIG DAMN FLAKES, too - I mean were talking Super-size-me-corn-flakes here. I was a bit concerned given my previous experience with the OEMs, but the P-Zeros were fantastic. Even with almost a half-inch of the stuff sticking to the roadsurface, I didn't notice any sliding, drifting, or anything that would give me pause, let alone sheer panic like the OEMs. 2k-miles on these tires and by far the best investment yet.

I keep reading this thread and what I hear is less noise, a squishy feeling and better all around handling in all weather conditions. Given I don't drive my car in the snow and or rain (except once) I find it hard to beleive that the handling will be better in dry weather than the OEM tires. The OEM grip is amazing.

These tires are far and away sooooo much superior to the OEM's. I had problems with the Potenzas on dry, but cold road surfaces.

Well, I finally got around to checking the speedo against a GPS with the P-Zeros. Exactly as I did with the Potenzas, I drove a fairly long distance, (100+ miles), at various speeds from a dead start to umm... a little more than 85 MPH, on varying terrain - flat land & mountainous regions. My wife acted as navigator, and reporter. She read the speed from the GPS, while I drove and looked at the speedo.
The difference with the Potenzas was 2MPH slower, and with the P-Zeros, 3MPH slower. This difference was consistant across the entire speed range, regardless of location or terrain.

Have had my PZeros on for about 3 weeks. There isn't enough good things I can say about them. I have driven in dry and wet conditions. Absolutely no problems with traction in the wet. Dry driving - these things just suck to the ground.
I have a freeway onramp I can easily do 60 mphs on. Took it last night at 70 without any worries at all.
I didn't feel any "squishiness" as some of you have pointed out. They are mounted on Enkei MM2 18X7.5 - I doubt that has anything to do with it but I don't know any other explanation.
Road noise - very, very quiet. Definitely quieter than the Potenzas.
Simply amazing. I love 'em.

We've had quite a bit of rain here lately and I have to say the PZeros (even with over 8000 miles on them now!) inspire confidence. Good traction, and not prone to hydroplaning.

I just bought the BFGoodrich g-force T/A KDW-NT's (225/45/18) and I love them! It's been really wet here the past week and they just stick to the road. It was dry for a little while today and "double wow" these tires are just amazing! In my opinion the OEM (Potenza) were crap (compared to this tire). This tire handles better and is definitely quieter (mind you I had over 50% wear on the OEM's at ~43000kms they were starting to get loud). The PZero was my second choice.

Got the PZero Nero M&S's on Thursday. Drove 125 miles round trip today at speed and they were great, just as advertised here. I was getting beaten up by the Potenza's, even in warmer weather, and the Pirellis provide a much smoother ride. I drive moderately but not real aggressively :p and can't really detect much degradation in handling at all. As far as noise is concerned, they seem about the same as the R040's on concrete, but are much quieter on blacktop.

Just got Pirelli P Zero Nero M+S on stock 18" rims to replace the 040s. Have put on about 500km and agree that the dry grip is very good, it rained and the wet grip is also very good. They are definitely much more quiet and provide a softer ride. There is a definite loss of handling precision, primarily on steering response, which is not nearly as sharp as the 040. My bet is that this can be compensated for once I get experience and confidence with the Pirellis. It will mean turning in sooner with the confidence that the grip will eventually happen. I am running 35 psi cold on all tires and need to play with pressures to take away a small increase in understeer. Has anyone experimented and adopted an ideal pressure?

I've got about 4000 miles on mine. During about the last 1k miles, I've noticed that one seems to thump when I start out in the morning. After about three miles (as I enter the freeway) the thump is gone and all is well.
I will get it checked out, but thought I'd see if anyone else has experienced what seems like a flat spot on the Pirellis.
