Pirelli PZero Nero M+S
Anyone have these tires? After much research, I just ordered a set of these in 245/40-18. More info on the tire here. These are "Ultra High Performance" all-season tires.

1 question: WHat is diff b/n this and the P0 Rosso? I know I can get p0 rosso in 225/45 18
By going 245/40 18 - will cost another 80A$ per tyre

THEY ARE PRICED AT $149 US DOLLARS , but they get much better pricing then we get here .
THose pirrellis look awesome i am jealous .

Don't confuse the Pzero Nero M&S with its summer tire cousin. The M&S is Pirelli's Ultra-High Performance All-Season tire, where as the non-M&S version is a Max Performance Summer tire. Both versions score very well in TireRack's reviews and tests, and the M&S version is very competitively priced.
Omicron, please keep us informed on how the tire works on the RX-8, both in cold winter climate and warmer weather as well. Since I took delivery of my RX-8 in early December and procrastinated on snowshoes, I have had to limp through the winter on the Bridgestone summer tires. Since I have not yet sold my previous ride (anyone interested in a '92 BMW 318i with 140K miles in NJ?), I have been able to avoid any snowy roads with my RX. I have been contemplating going with a dedicated winter set-up of high performance all season radials instead of snows for better dry performance during the 95% of my winter driving w/o snow. I now have broadband access at home and don't mind working from home on the few occasions we have substantial snowfall (wife's ride is an Acura MDX so we have a more than adequate vehicle of last resort). Now I am contemplating going with a tire like the Nero M&S year round and saving the cost of dedicated winter wheels. Your experience, as well as others in the similar situation, will go a long way on deciding what to do this fall.

Good going Omicron! I am about to come into a few bucks here soon and was considering buying ultra high performance all seasons and what I see in costs is about what I would want to pay. We get just enough snowfall here that isn't too much but enough that I need something other than siped stocks and I have been looking at this style for some time. You'll have to let us know how they look and feel after you get them on.
I considered a winter and wheel package for the winter months but decided that the $1200 plus was a bit beyond what I wish to budget. For four at $150, or so and the Canzoomer stage 1 I can have both at about the same pricing. Well, it's a plan of sorts so far.

Yup, and pretty much what I decided too. Hard to believe, but where I live in Colorado we don't get that much snow either, and I think these tires will allow me to drive my 8 almost year round. When there's more than an inch or two of snow on the ground I can always take my Jeep, but that's usually only 2 or 3 times a year. And from everything I could find out about these Pirellis, they are as good or better on dry roads as the Potenzas are, so they may be the best of all possible worlds.

I'm convinced these are the tires I want. As soon as I get my retro-active pay raise going back to August, I might to do the same thing. I looked at the specs on those and from what I could tell, they look like the answer to winter woes.
OK, I am actually torn though. Should I wait and put a few more miles on the stocks before I rip em off and turn them? If I do it this way, I can buy in on the Canzoomer stage 1 group buy. Then sometime around fall, I can get these tires. Decisions, decisions. Hmmmm

I like the idea of the Zero Nero M&S too. They seem really nice, get great reviews (both from the TireRack itself and its customers) and are priced well for the size.
Even though I will still get snows, the Nero M&S would be perfect for everyday use. If they sacrifice a bit of performance to the S-03s on the street... who cares. On the street, that kind of difference is irrelevant.

take a look at the MAHDI CAESAR TS-5 RIMS...SUPERCHROME
i am considering these in a 255/35/19 rear and 235/35/19 front setup with TOYO PROXES T1-S tires....supposed to be super stickey.......
