Appearance Package front & rear + MS side skirts

My car now... (well almost, excepting my Borla exhaust, tinting, and the color here's a bit off )

Already have the rear spoiler. I've obtained the Appearance package front spoiler and rear flares, and ordered my Mazdaspeed side skirts from Ronsenthal Mazda. Should have them in less than a month. These pics are from the Virtual Garage, but I'll throw pics up of the real thing once I get these parts on.

Whatchu all think? :D

Omicron,

Awesome! That's the combo I want to do minus the rear wing and mine is black. I love all your mods....I'm never ever going to catch up....

Heeheehee. :D Sure you are. Thanks.

Funny thing is, I might just make it down to Chandler sometime next year in my '8... I have family all over Arizona, and lived there myself for 20 years in Tucson.

Ahhhh....tucson. I lived there for about 11 years. East side out toward Reddington Pass. If you ever make it down here we will definately have to hook up and go for a drive with Huff from Vivid. That would be a great time.

Did you see the photochop I did of my rx with those mods...mostly the same but added gunmetal powdercoat to the wheels and lowered.

Yup, ahhh Tucson. Still kinda miss it. In my years there I lived on West, North West, North, and East sides. West by Prince and Oracle, NW by Orange Grove and LaCanada, North by Skyline and Ina, then Sunrise and Pontatoc, then East side near 22nd and Harrison. All over the place.

Those are some nice photochops. But I don't think I'll lower mine just yet, as I want to see what the ground clearance is like with the MS Side skirts. Supposed to be only 1/2 in lower than stock. If so, then coilovers are in my future too, or maybe just springs. Then comes forced induction... :D

Very nice! That's exactly what I just optioned out in the Virtual Garage thread except I included the MS rear lower rather than the factory appearance package rear panels.

Definately post pics when you get it done, I am curious to see whether the MS skirts are the same height as the rear flares and front lip.

Yup, ya know, I thought about the MS rear underspoiler a great deal, but decided against it for several reasons:

- It's expensive for what it is (but then, all the MS stuff is!)
- I don't like the way the space under the exhaust pipes is open
- I've decided instead to get the existing factory underspoiler painted to match the car. Think that'll look just about as good, if not better.

I believe, and am sincerely hoping, that they are the same height. Everything I could find indicates they are, but I'll only know for sure when I get them on the car. I'll definitely post pics.

yea i remember talking about this waaaay waaay back. Didn't somebody actually do this to a red car back then? I can't remember...

Yesterday I was one click away from being the Guinea pig, but I came to my senses that I wasn't going to install all these parts when its 20 degrees outside :o .

can't wait to see our creation :D

Except you're going to have that annoying grey line running along the side sill skirts... it matches up on the other MS parts, but not the appearance package. The was the flaw with that plan...

Yes, I noticed the lower gray lip also. But even still, you can see in the pic that it doesn't look that bad. I think it will work out just fine.

It'd be NG for me. Just because I know it's there... just because it isn't 100% perfect or at least 99%... there is no way I would do it. But that is me and I tend to be rather picky...

BUt when I get the rear underspoiler painted, if it bugs me, then I'll have them paint that too. And keep in mind that my car is Titanium grey, which is close to the grey of the lip. But if I do "have" to get it painted, I may just debadge the car too.

You can get the front spoiler and rear flares from Trussville or Rosenthal Mazda (see our vendors forum) although I bought mine privately from someone else on the board here. I bought my Mazdaspeed side sills from Rosenthal Mazda.

Omicron...

The other thought I had was going with the Autoexe rear. I liked the all painted look but I'm debating how this would look with the MS skirts.
