Anyone Using the RacingBrake 4 piston calipers?
Anyone Using the RacingBrake 4 piston calipers?
I'd be interested in knowing how other people go about compressing the pistons. The best method I've found is to use a hefty c-clamp and an old brake pad, and to alternate sides repeatedly. But it seems to take more time and require a lot more force than it should. The rears are a total breeze in comparison.
Any specialized tools out there to make it easier? I have a Lisle Dual piston compressor, but its worthless with the RB caliper.
Thanks for any thoughts.

I searched here, and found posts otherwise related to these calipers (such as your install DIY), but nothing specific to compression of the pistons on these particular calipers. I found many posts related to compressing the piston on the stocks, which incidentally have never given me any trouble whatsoever.
I searched Subaru, Nissan and Infiniti forums, YouTube and plain old Google. Nothing specific to this issue and this particular caliper.
I readily admit that I may have missed something. But I have tried to do my due diligence before posting here, and if you know of a post that I missed, I would appreciate a link. Likewise, if you have knowledge to share on the topic, I would be appreciative of a few lines.
Thanks, all. I just ordered one of these. Hopefully it'll make things go more quickly.

Yeah, I do that routinely. I was actually wondering if opening a bleeder would be worthwhile, but I swap them often enough that I really didn't want to have to mess with that every single time.
