You are going in through the wheel well right ?
it is probably 3/8" drive - 1/2" drive is way better for jobs like this .

 

Yes, I put the car on a jack, and removed a wheel and the splash guard.

 

not me.

I just drove my car up the ramp, put a big piece of card board box on the floor and start working.

tools I used was, spark plug socket, a universal join, a maybe 1 ft extension, and a ratchet.

I didnt even use a Torque wrench. Cuz I do it slowly, when it stops turning, I just give it another 1/2 circle and thats it. works for me so far.

 

Don't got no ramp, unless you're willing to ship one to me. :D

 

Maybe u should go out and buy one !

Its a bit expensive for 2 pieces of big plastic but, it really speed things up, A LOT.

Are you actually putting strength into turning it?

how tall are you, how much do you weigh?

Use a breaker bar or an impact gun.

For the breaker bar you have to use it from under the car.

Avoid swivels.

 

Uh..., yes, I'm putting strength into it.

I have a new game plan I wish to try. I'll warm it up before blasting it with air duster to cool the plugs, then break out the breaker bars.

 

1/- Warm it,

2/- Kool the plug,

3/- Get a very large bar,

I forgot to mention step 4/- Pray to Dr. Felix........

I had to use a 12" breaker bar on the end of my ratchet and a 17" extension on the end of the spark plug socket to get mine out. You can ask my friend Mikeluvs8. He will tell you they are hard to break out. I changed mine on my last 8 and we took his off to check them.

Sounds like he is having a lot of problems. I change my plugs out every 10k miles and use antisieze liberally but not get it on the tip of the plugs. I have never had a problem with mine at all. If anyone needs theirs changed out and lives on the west side of atlanta, I will do it for 150 and that includes the plugs. Dealer charges you 220 for the plugs alone. It takes me about an hour or so but, I can change them out fairly easily. If you redline the car very much, plugs are good for no more than 15k miles before they start to lose a little performance. Hope you get your plugs changed. Not good to have a mismatched set in there either.

 

Depends on the place u're getting your plugs from. I got mine all 4 about 60 something close to 70 bux I think ?

I just put HKS plugs into my car hmm they're much colder than stock so I guess its gonna be all foul up after maybe 10 K miles ... then Im gonna use the 6 heat range again.

 

i did it plain and simple with hand tools like a wetback. You gotta put some nuts into it with the 3/8 drive with the to get the sucker loose. Try spraying a little WD40 if it doesnt wanna come out

Well, it's out. I got myself a big burly man to twist the ****** out with a 1/2" breaker bar and 2 1/2" 10" extensions...
