I'm considering moving there for a year and a half. I would save about $500 a month.

You'd save a LOT more than that.
Cali is a financial disaster.

Only if you buy a house with all-electric appliances and only for the three hot months.
From October to April your AC/heater will be completely off.
And water is the cheapest here out of every state in the country.
Taxes are low, too, but you Californians moving here and bringing your bad habits is ruining that.

Sorry guys, no video tonight. I got busy with the girl and didnt get to work on the car. I will get some vid up as soon as i can though of it with the pully off.

Now on the side note we have going. Not only is it hot as hell here, its stormed every night the last three nights, We have gotten 12" of rain in three days. There is horrible flooding here in major cities. Its kinda crazy really. Seems like there is always something here, way hot, 2 ft of snow or floods.

Shady, i need to tap the DIY in your head for the second part of it. Just continue where you left off please. i will most likely get the cover off tonight. again this is all pending if i have to remove my exhauset manifold which will take half the night all on its own.

I worked on the car today and started tearign down everything attached to the front cover. I got the frotn two bolts out of the AC compressor along with the OMP and the thermostat off. Here are a few pics to update. All that should be left is actually remove the oil pan (all the bolts are removed already) then the front cover shoudl be ready to remove. Hopefully i will get to that point tomorrow.

Yeah, i was worried about that also. I think its goin to be close, IF it is in the way, i might as well had jsut pulled the motor again. IN order to get it out i would have to lift it from the top to remove the motor mount and then get the manifold off. So i am really really hoping i dont have to remove it.

I think you can do it with it on. it will take a little creativity but not much. the only studs are by the water pump there. I think you can do it. Have fun with the oil pan that should take you a day or 2.

I removed the oil pan when i tore it down the first time to ship to texas. It did not take me to long. But, That was not freshly sealed like it is now. Thats also why i stopped last night instead of going forward with it last night. Hopefully i will get it off tonight and see what i can figure out.

I have the atkins rebuild DVD. Was thinkin of watching part of it to see if i can get some info on what exactly i am supposed to be doin here. any other pointers would be appreciated, or is it pretty straight forward. Thanks for the info guys.

Oh **** you do that's, awesome!!! The rebuild DVD is good up until you get to the rotors. Front stack is the exact same as the fd. The front cover is much different use your better judgment

When you go to take off the bent washer (forget the term for it) for the oil pump, you can rotate the assembly so the washer is facing up this helps out allot.

Don't forget to wedge the clutch in, after you break the front pulley bolt loose.

Good luck and you got my number in case you run into a bind.

So what are the odds that its the front stack issue and not a bent e shaft or something of the sorts? I jsut really dont wand to go through all of this and have it be a differnt issue.

100% sure its the front stack.

If you have a bent shaft...

It would be impossible that your car would be running at all. you would had damage to your transmission rotors housings and irons. The engine wouldn't even rotate. you would hear noises that you've never heard before in your life and your housings would have exploded when you were data logging.
