Coil bolt broken

Hi you all, title says it all.

Was replacing my coil's wires and spark plugs and on the last coil (closest to the firewall) i was trying to loosen the bolt when the bugger just snapped.

I'm aware on how to take it out and drill it threw to replace it with a new bolt, but i am a little confused on how this works and was hopeing for some clarification.

So i drill the hole out, replace the bolt, secure the bolt down with a nut. (do the nuts and bolts type matter?) After that i then put the coil on and bolt the coil down with a second nut leaving my coil a little elevated. Does the coil have to be touching the plate it sits on?

I confused, thanks for the help.

Basically all it does is hold the coil to the bracket...so anything that will do that will work

some people will argue that you should elevate them all, but for your purpose it is no big deal. There is plenty of room and it won't matter either waqy

it doesnt matter, the bracket material suck *** and will break one day.

it looks like the s2 bracket is made from some better metal, but who knows.
