New guy with problems

Already discussed the other ones with my shrink. But I'm having some issues with my car. I have an 05 manual with 106k. I'm not new to RX8 or rotaries but this one is completely stumping me. So it overheated and I rebuilt the motor. Compression is great and it runs great for the most part. When I crank up the car it will idle nice and smooth for a moment. After the idle settles down and it goes into closed loop after warming up, it will just bog and die. It has no codes. I started with plugs, wires and coils. Nothing. Then moved on to change the MAF, O2 sensor, and checked the whole car for vacuum leaks. Nothing. I had th scanner on it today and noticed it says CL-fault (still trying to determine what that would indicate) and the STFTs are erratic. They jump around while the car is idling from 0 to -25. After -20 it's just drowning and will stall. Sometimes it will hunt around and nearly drown a few times before it dies, I've done the KAM and NVRAM resets to no avail. Cleaned the CAS as well. Nothing has changed. This is a real head scratcher so I thought I'd throw it at the mercy of the experts. Any thoughts?

Have you checked the throttle body....the idle control mechanism is PCM and throttle body controlled. A number of people have had issues with the throttle body not working correctly and causing really strange idle problems.

The PCM may be trying to modulate the idle RPM by screwing with the mixture and timing when the TB doesn't react correctly
