Hey all,

I bought a 2005 RX-8 in Florida in may 2013, I moved to Raleigh, NC the same month and we had the car shipped. after about a year of driving it the issues started to appear.

The car has ~100k+( not sure, the odometer stopped working) miles on it but the engine seems fine so far.

The ABS and light was on when I bought the car, the guy said debris on the road likely snapped the wire. I don't personally care if the ABS was working or not so it wasn't a huge downside for me.

My issues right now are the CEL is on which I've been told by many inspectors, bars me from passing inspection in Raleigh.

My codes Read
U0073 - CAN system communication error
U0121 - Communication error to ABS HU/CM
P0443 - Purge solenoid valve circuit problem
PO171 - System too lean

Im not exactly sure what the CAN system is. and if its a part I can easily swap out. but from what im seeing 3 of my four problems are related to wiring?

The speedometer, Power steering and Odometer don't work unless the cars been driving at temperature for a good 15 minutes. then all three kick back on until the car cools down. Its puzzled everyone I've talked to.
Has anyone else had their RX8 speedometer, odometer, and PS go out and turn on at the same time?
