its been determined that the seals were jacked up to begin with....word to the wise...OEM...listen to the masses on this one

3 weeks I should be rocking and rolling.

Here are a few photos were the seals expanded and became stuck in the grooves, after measureing them they vary by as much as .001 from end to end...again should have checked clearances

its kind of funny in the begining my ignorance made it very difficult to comminicate.....not to say that I know jack squat now but I questions come out much smoother and actually make since

 

oh Hoss.....had a nightmare last night......dreamt someone painted my engine with anti-paint....I was scared I wouldnt get the pink engine my daughter asked for ...thank goodness for reality

So are you keeping your side seals or going Oem .?

 

I went OEM becuase of that wear on a couple of them.... just makes me more comfortable

I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT THAT !

I should paint my FC's engine pink couple months ago ! now it's in the car running so it's too late. Grrrrr

Next time ! next time ! when I rebuild my 8's engine (not anytime soon tho, LOL) I should make it Red,Orange, Yellow, Pink and Purple, 1 for each housing/iron. perfect Engine ! WEEEEEE !
