if the a/f's are varying that much with no change in the throttle/ rpm/load then you have a fuel problem or a BIG intermittent vacuum leak.
I guess it could be the FP--but they just usually die--i havent seen them wax and wane like that.
Maybe injectors--dont know?
How old is the front o2 sensor?
I think it is good to get a real compression test--but even on a low compression engine i dont think the numbers would look like they do?

IIRC 15 at idle is perfect for a ported engine...

Hey you made sure the apv gear magnet thingy was set to 1 o'clock position yes?

Oh--ported engine--how big are the ports? Why such low grams per sec--if all the lim valves are opening?

Well....... let's start with replacing the fuel pump just for GP and checking for vacuum leaks.

hope not!
It may be worth it to check that front 02 sensor. It could be messed up?
It probably went through a lot while all that hard starting stuff was going on?
Just another thing on the trouble shooting list. I know how you feel

good call and thanks Shady.

I will post the results around 9ish but things are getting worse...I can feel more hesitation, more blips and what not so something is failing and I am not confident its compression (but then again I am completely ignorant).

on the p0661 SSV circuit low code would that cause the SSV do mechanically do anyhting funky? or is it basically open or closed?....that would affect AFR's right

I don't think it's compression but that is just a gut feeling. Well we have plenty of spare parts around so if it's not compression then whatever needs to be replaced can be.

I seriously don't see how it can be compression.

I am not feeling compression either...that was my issue before and this is NOTHING like it

need to start a tip jar or something to compensate

or I can just feed you and get you drunk?

ok so I suck and shady is the master of telling the future

compression sucked *** and the motor is coming out tomorrow

front rear
440 520
440 470
430 470

I am going with either side seals or corner seals are still glued....but as everone has wittnessed my fortunetelling skilles are about as good as my compression

on a more positive note I look forward to doing this again, I just hope not to find that housings/irons got fucked up

Sorry man but these are the lessons that you remember well.
I bet the seals are still glued down some --dont have the full range of motion.
Well at least now you know.....

well it tis what it tis and honestly (excluding the pain in the ***) I think this is a good exersize. it wont be as bad as it was last time because I wont have to clean 60k miles of gunk off of everything and I know what I am getting into (i was alittle overwhelmed last time....TMI)
