the only thing that delayed my order was cryo and the used housings. if you are just going with a rebuild kit then you should be good to go.

if your thinking you will just need a rebuild kit be prepared

Seriously! The manufacturer my employers sells parts for can't sometimes even give us an ETA. They make the damn parts themselves!

perfect time to clean up the engine bay--repaint, lube steering knuckle, rework the eps connectors etc etc--it never ends

I have been debating on removing the liner, its getting old and worn....then I would hose down the engine bay with a little degreaser

lube the steering knuckle seems pretty straightforward...anything special to know?

what the heck is an EPS connectors (power steering?)

this is great stuff, feel free to rattle off a list of stuff like this

The bar look great man, but the SARX is crooked, lay off the Boners. Automotive vendors are the worst, I swear.

also good time to check all the wiring harness grounds and clean them up. Install additional heat shield over the transmission tunnel so the cup holders etc. will not get so hot and make a neat harness for all the gauge wiring you will need.
Take that felt hear shield off--its ugly unless it is brand new
Buy some 3m dinoc carbon fiber or alumium vinyl and cover the fuse box and ecu box.
ventilate the ecu box more ( look at an s2 model box for inspiration)

yea I hit up all the connectors with quick dry contact cleaner then put in some dilectric grease. I also sanded down every ground point to bare metal and covered that with dilectric grease.

if it starts rusting I'll let you know... so far so good.

putting dielectric grease on ground points kind of defeats the purpose of having a good ground. Try a PPE lubricant there if you really want, it's meant to be used on contacts and prevents corrosion as well.

How does it defeat the purpose?

It prevents corrosion and seals the contact.... The ground is still made to the contact point.

Yes I know...

LOL clearly I am confusing people

I am using a thin coating of it around the connection to prevent **** from getting up in there and potentially causing issues. The contact point (wire to ground point) is clean and free of grease.

Sorry for the confusion.
