They really don't care if your engine doesn't have adequate protection, and are going on the gamble that most engines will still last to the 100,000km mark before failing even with oil that is too thin.
Again I ask, how do you know this? Specifically, what is your source for this information?? I've heard this story countless times on this forum but, far as I can tell, no one's substantiated it. Yes, the fact that Mazda recommends 5w30 everywhere except North America, where they recommend 5w20, certainly suggests this might be true—but that, by itself, does not make it a fact. Right now, it ranks right up there in credibility with "no RX-8 in 2006" and "the rotary engine is dead".

Well my Mazda dealership in Ga. told me to not use 5/20 ever use 5/30 year round . And of course there was those few porters who when gave me my keys and took money from me for oil change, said OMFG 5/30 is to thick for rotarys..................
I lmfao when these idiots said that , Mazda training 101.

You talking about Negative or positive ?

if its positive, thats hot enough to kill almost anything on earth (except for mad cow disease's protein, of which u need about 400-500 to kill)

if its negative, it will be absolute 0, meaning it can freeze anything, atoms will completely stop moving, then you can just smash it with a hammer and it will just break like ice cubes.

er, there's no 'negative' in kelvin

273 kelvin = 0 celsius = water freezing temperature

0 kelvin = absolute 0
