...Also, i was talking to customer service at Auber and i also found out that with the right sending unit this gauge can read both oil pressure and oil temperature at the same time but you have to switch manually between the two setting to see the readings. Kind of a pain but nice to know if you don't want multiple gauges (and wanna save money) and just want to check the different readings every now and then.

Okay, for installation you need a oil filter adapter plate (already had for my oil pressure gauge). I recommend the Pro Sport one.
You will need to pop out the radio (search for head unit removal DIY) and be careful not to pull too hard or you will fry your head unit. Run the wire through the grommet near clutch pedal inside the car to behind the radio, pop out radio, pop out radio face plate, pull gauge wires through center of radio, mask faceplate with painters tape prior to cutting hole for gauge, cut hole, install gauge in faceplate, wire gauge, push radio back, connect car battery, test gauge, push gauge and faceplate back on radio and put everything back together
I also wrapped a wire from the gauges metal sheathing and ran it straight to ground to assure good readings. I suck at DIY's but hopefully this helps,

Call Auber, they are very helpful. for tapping the pan you would need a bung welded to the pan to do it properly. Or buy a pan like the RR pan or the Greddy that has ports (verify).

Have you, one anyone, found an oil filter adapter plate that works with the Series II? I'd love to get a set of gauges installed but I don't know how/where to connect the sender.

You could always tap the oil pan or you can buy an adapter that will go between the block and the oil cooler feed line. Or, you can buy an oil filter relocation kit.
Worth a try for $50.00

I also had issues with grounding until I ran separate ground wires from each gauge (not this setup) to the sending unit itself. By grounding gauge at the sending unit, one avoids ground loops (where different grounds are at different potentials) and gets rock-solid readings.

Actually I haven't finished my new setup, but for when I get my car on the dyno they will be used for pre-turbo egt temps only for tuning. After it's done I'm just going to have 1 for egt and the other most likely for fuel pressure. I'll probably pick up another pressure sensor and splice the wiring with a switch and have the gauge switchable between the two. I don't have a stock engine, so I can basically put anything I want anywhere.

Yeah, that would be cool, but it would be too hard/dangerous to look at it while driving. Even my gauges that I have in the ashtray are hard to look at:
