Coil bolt broken

Ello, I'm in the middle of replacing my coils, and I'm on my last one. Well, as I was loosening the nut, the bolt has snapped. I can't get any thread grip when I put the coil back on, because it busted so far down.

So, I need a opinion, should I just chop the rest of the bolt off, drill through it, and use a the nut and bolt laying around, or must I use the material the current bolt is made of, which I haven't the slightest clue of its composition.

If it matters, its the closest one to the front of the car.

Thank you so much, in advance.

you could pull the plate, drill through where the broken bolt is, install a new bolt with a nut securing it on the coil side, and then use a second nut to bolt the coil down on top of the other nut. That coil will sit slightly higher due to being on top of the first nut, but it won't hurt anything

I suppose I could do that I see two bolts holding the plate on, so this *should* be a quick easy fix.

Discovered my dad took all the drills, and bits, so I just used a hose clamp on the end near the plug, and tightened it down to the plate, with the half broken bolt holding it in place. Worked like a charm, and my car drives better then the day I got it off the lot 2 1/2 years ago. Awesome!
