In that vain, I will borrow this thread long enough to answer the question from Razz1.
For the term I have had the Pettit s/c I would recommend it to anyone interested in the s/c side of FI. As I keep saying, it makes the 8 what it should have been from the factory and more. Have I had problems, hell yes I've had a few. The two main problems have been tuning and overheating. We've finally figured out the tuning issue. Most places where the supplied maps come from have high humidity and heavy air. The desert where I live has little humidity and light air and the interceptor X seems to react to the air temps and humidity. I can't tell you what the fix is but both Cam & MazdaManiac can fill you in (they set up the maps that I use). MM says that the ultimate is the answer and for a while I was about ready to make the change. Heat is a problem that I should have under control soon. The Paradox Performance upgrade radiator for a/ts has over 200% additional engine cooling capacity and over 300% additional trans cooling capacity (check with Ray for exact figures) and if that does not fix the problem I don't know what will. Ray and I will be installing it soon and also contemplate moving or removing some of the stuff in the cool path so that air can get to everything. This time of year there is no overheating problem even at full boost. After Ray and I get thru with all the little changes, MM, Ray and I will be dynoing my 8, but I'm not sure I will bother to post the results (due to all the BS that is sure to come). ^ I never made any wrongs unless u count the time I thought drifting at80mph+ was cool and do-able in an AT rx8 through an intersection as a wrong........ but I made a right though

wether some of you do it for sh*t's n' giggles or if you're really just ignorant...
for all the auto-xer's - i can understand your reason for purchase...but for all of you MT owners that down the AT's because we're slower...let me ask you something...if you didn't mean to race the 8...then why did you buy the f*cking car?? you know damn well we aren't meant for the straight away's - we're not the best platform for drift - and yeah we have great handles but lets face it...we're not the best...SO WHAT IS YOUR REASON? You down the AT because we're slower...well...WTF did we need to be blindingly fast for?? so we can hurry up and get more tickets? so we can be like the those 'dope ricers' and attempt to smoke everybody on the gaddamn street? You have an MT...freakin' wonderful...don't think that every person that chose the AT made a mistake because they didn't choose the same thing as you...most of you are just jumping on a freakin' band wagon n' spreading spoon fed information...way to go tools
Per say on a straight away a 6port 6speed AT were to go FI and meet your 'mildly modded' self on the street? - who made the wrong decision then? you gotta dump the clutch and shift gears which may take you oh, 1 second...heavens forbid you misshit...AT's? it'll probably take...ohhh...half that...on a drunk night to find the paddle shifter...
i could give two sh*t's if anybody flames me for this post - anything is possible n' nobody on this planet can honestly say otherwise...hell i heard a blind people learned how to play the piano better than some people with 20/20 vision...i could be wrong ofcourse...i mean...you need vision to play the piano right??

Yep, anything is possible. but there are limits. this car is not the fastest straight car. and who said MT is for *Straight line* only ? ROFL . obviously you dont even know how MT actually helps in performance driving. So you might want to get an MT before you talk to me.
AT has its strength, I know, the ability to drive in traffic without much effort, or should I say, be able to drive in any conditions without much effort ? dont need to worry about shifting and stuff. sooooo ? its good for almost all cars, just not a sports car.
Usually the reason why people got pissed, simply because somebody pinpoint about their *weakness*, am I right ?
