got my piping and manifold back today. had the manifold and downpipe ceramic coated and all the piping was powder coated satin black. came out really nice looking.
today i removed the air pump and installed a blocking plate. i also removed my oil filter adapter after trying to do an oil change today. it was such a PITA trying to unscrew the filter with that adapter on there. i think i'm going to get a relocation kit and install it where the air pump was.
i also sent my turbo off to BNR for the upgrade.
now i'm waiting on some couplers from Charles R. Hill. wait til you guys see whats in store.

You mention you bought the Sohn - I hope you took the opportunity to install it while the rad was out, it's 99 times easier when you can actually SEE the screws you are putting in......
Definitely put it in before your up-pipe - you will never get it on after.

Don't tap the tube if you can avoid it - not a lot of metal there.... unless your gonna weld a nipple.
The compressor housing is the best place - there is like 1/2" or more of material to tap.

i ordered the oil filter relocation kit and some hose and fittings. also got CRH to order me some different couplers and radiator hose kit.
took the sound deadening material off the sides. looks much better in the engine bay, especially when there is no air pump.
i fitted up the BOV. i kinda guessed on how i wanted the flange welded and the fitment is perfect. it looks so nice. the powdercoated piping and BOV are a perfect match.

decided its time to add more pics. also edited the first post.
here's the BOV and powdercoated piping.

here's the engine bay with air pump and sound deaden material delete. as you can see, i mounted the fuel pump resistor on the firewall. i'm still trying to decide how to mount the ambient air pressure sensor.
