Drive it, but you should not boost until you work on the tune again. Don't take any chances.

The man is right.

The base tune is fine, but the sensors / injectors have to be rescaled just to be safe.

It should be plenty fine to get you home, then we got some work to do....but it shouldn't be too bad.

why do the sensors and injectors need to be scaled? nothing was changed except for the seals in my motor.

Only thing I can see is maybe needing to rescale your intake slightly as you'll be pulling more VAC.

Now if that WG line was loose this entire time even during the tuning process(just loose until it finally popped off)...then yeah you have some serious tuning to do

if the WG signal was off, wouldn't it just be overboosting? the fuel map would be compensating for the extra airflow, correct?

Not sure how the WG lines are connected on the Greddy kit but that loose line may have caused a vacuum leak

the line is tapped right off the compressor outlet pipe.

^^^ Bingo, Depending on how loose that line was that would have greatly affected your trims. I had a boost leak in the same area causing me to go pig rich

Because it was never tuned completely the first time.... and who knows what all mechanical issues you may have had.

Always rescale, and you have to re VE the motor anyway since it is rebuilt.

NuuukEE! And Kane. We should get a few RX8 dudes and meet up. I'm putting my GReddy kit on plus extras here in a few days. Would be sweet to meet up with some boosted 8's, especially those with way more experience then me.

/end thread jack

PS - Nuke your car is mega sex.

not going WOT is not a problem. i haven't gone WOT since the turbo install. i don't think i could stay out of boost though, going up and down hills.

unhook the wastegate flapper from the actuator. it'll blow open and you will never get into boost.

you are mostly right but surprisingly (with the greddy) you can actually make a little boost at WOT past about 5500rpm . Obviously , That won't happen if he drives conservatively .
