Not sure I'm really stringing it out but I think that getting all of the parts together then doing the build is working quite well. It gives me time to do allot of thinking and planning. I've found that trying to get all of these parts together is absolutely worse than waiting to come home. I've been on this for two and a half months and still do not have several of the parts I planned to get at the start. Not to mention by the time I'm home I'll have spent 20 grand on parts.

As a Fyi, the instructions with the kit are the weakest link. If you have any questions dont hesitate to ask. I fumbled though it. After what i went thought i could install it with my eyes closed. I cant wait to see how your intake goes. I want to do the same thing. Guess ill wait for yours.

I know the turbo is close to everything but ptp includes their snail blanket and it is said you can rest your hand on it with out getting burned. I also have a Braille battery and I'm planning on custom fabbing a holder for it when I'm at my dad's as he used to be a fabricator.
I ran the PTP kit for awhile. well, for a week or so. I know Joe(PTP) pretty good. I ordered alot of stuff from him and he was always friendly and available. I can ruffle his feathers if you like.
I can speak first hand on the battery location issue. It's too close. The first battery was cooked before I took it home from the install. The second one I changed after my motor popped a week or so later. The turbo had a SS heat shield and was packed full of some spaceage white fireproof fuzz. The battery had a costom shield/holder fabbed up as well. I'll put up some pic's for ya to see what I'm talking about. I'm still using the turbo and alot of their piping but thats it. The turbo is sweet, spools like mad.
The manifold was soild but the wastegate's location and it's size 38mm was an issue as well. The size is fine for their kit but it doesn't leave much room for advances later on. Actually I still have the wastegate. It's for sale by the way(plug plug).
I have to say for the record PTP and their staff are top notch.

Holy hell man! And I thought I had dropped a butt ton of money on this car!
I don't mean to discredit PTP's work or staff; I am just reporting my dealings with them and their total lack of communication. In two months I received exactly four emails from PTP, Two from Jon (one was just so I had his addy), one auto reply, and one from eBay where I had to track down a good email for them. I sent them well over 10 emails asking for an invoice or just trying to hammer out details. It's really sad because as I think they have a great kit and it would have been super convenient for me, but I no longer feel like I can trust them with $5000.
In contrast, I've sent SFR four emails is the past two days and have received five back, ok, one was an auto reply :P In two days we selected the turbo, BOV, WG, MAF placement, ceramic coating, and a few other odds and ins. I've received two invoices; the first one had to be corrected due to a miscommunication on my part. So far I have nothing but great things to say about SFR.

My kit has been paid for and is currently in production. The complete kit details can be found at the bottom of the first post. Tim tells me it will take around three weeks for the kit to be finished, I'm guessing because of all the custom bits I'm having done. I would also like to stress how impressed I am with the customer service of SFR, and can't be happier with them. I'm also uploading a new parts list with a bunch of added goodies. I did however have to break the list up in items that are already on the car and those that are waiting to be installed. God I can't wait to get home!!!

Nope, I don't even know because I don't know where my new house will be! I don't want to do it at your place on the off chance something goes wrong and the car has to wait for a few days or what not. It's also not going to be done imeadiatly upon my arival as I will have to buy a place first, buy my second car, and wait for all of my house hold goods to be delivered.
Thats the idea!

Yes, I will be getting a house close to Luke or at least that side of town. The number one thing I'm looking for in a house is a garage; the rest of it can be studio for all I care. But I do know I'm excited and it will be hard to wait longer, but I don't want to rush into this like I did last time, I'm wanting it to be perfect. Most of everything will be on the car with the exception of the actual turbo kit before I even get to Phoenix. I plan on having most of the small work done on the turbo kit before hosting the build party, as I would like it to be running before people start to lose interest and leave, that way we can concentrate more on drinkin!

Wow... this is going to be a great build. Thanks for keeping the project so well documented up to now.
What is your goal on the build now that you have a system planned out?
How is your rebuilt renny holding up after the rebuild (compression test)? How many miles since the rebuild?
Definitely going to enjoy watching this one come together, congrats!

02 May - Leave Mississipi with the following installed

Metra DD Dash kit
DNX-8120 DD Head Unit
KAC-xm100v XM receiver
Pac SWI-JACK
ProSport Boost Gauge
ProSport Wide Band
Gizmo Boost controller
16 May - Leave Texas with the folling installed:
TEAS Coilover Controller
Tanabe Pro 5 Coilovers
AP F/R Sway Bars and Endlinks
Greddy Oil Filter Relocation
Greddy Oil Pan
Red Line 10W40
BHR Flywheel
BHR Stage 2 Clutch
ACT Counter Balance
Steel Braided Clutch Line

17 -24 May - House hunt in Az and buy second car

1 Jun to whenever, close on house and start wrenching on the car
So you see, unfortunatly, it's going to be awhile before I even see the kit let alone put it on the car. But you have my word, I will supply you with dyno numbers and feedback once everything is good to go.

Sorry guys for not posting sooner. We are still alive and kicking! We have been extremely busy here even though the economy is tough, it doesnt seem to stop people from wanting to fix up their cars. Someone just told me that Mazsport went out of business(is it true) so I guess some time has passed since I have been on the boards.
We are getting ready to ship out Mikes kit.We did a few custom things for him as he mentioned. We are very interested in seeing how the Accessport works with this set-up as we might be able to offer it as an option which will bring the price of the kit down. Anyone want to see some parts pics or what?????
