Please do -- curious to take a look at the modifications!

SFR kit shipped with pre-tuned AP to be tweaked upon install sounds excellent.

We are getting ready to ship out Mikes kit.We did a few custom things for him as he mentioned. We are very interested in seeing how the Accessport works with this set-up as we might be able to offer it as an option which will bring the price of the kit down. Anyone want to see some parts pics or what?????

Just saw this and wanted to let you know that your FIRST kit still has a relatively good home in my garage. Thanks and good luck

It's cool, thanks for deleting your posts.

Here is the newest parts list; the only other thing that will be added to it later will be an alky kit from BHR.

Updated the updated list and shamless plug alert!

Ray is having a sale over at BHR where he is allowing anyone to purchase one item or "kit" from him at his cost plus shipping. This sale will be starting in April. Because I'm such a BAMF, (not really, there were other reasons) he allowed me to exercise my discount early. I picked up the AEM one gallon alky injection kit for $336.00. It's MSRP is 460 and the lowest "sale" price I found was 400 bones. So in other words, one hell of a deal. Save your pennies and start thinking about what you want Santa Ray to hook you up with!

Hey not as extravagant as yours but I'm running a custom SFR based (SFR built my hot side piping) setup with the AP, and have had no issues to speak of with mine.

It's a pull through setup with the MAF located on a pipe thats pre comp and does a 45 degree turn out the hole in engine bay. Very similar in design to the SFR CAI.

Damn, now I have a dilemma. Do I keep the moniker of the first AP controlled SFR kit or not. I think I'll keep it. After all SFR only built your hot side, I would consider your setup to be more custom then the actual SFR kit. I would however love to see some pictures of your intake set up if you don't mind.

Edit: I'll add kit to my signature

Yeah it's damn near all custom, but anyway I'll be swapping in a new turbo sunday and will get you a pic of my CAI. I have one in my build thread but that was a prototype and has since changed.

No, the car is parked exactly how I left it in South Carolina. When I get home I'll be moving to Arizona. Along the way I'll be doing the modifications with the final step when I get to Az and put the actual turbo on.

You cant change the screens. If they get damaged though, you have bigger problems then worry about changing the screens.I will take some more pics of the piping polished and the ceramic coated exhaust parts when I get a second. We have been so swamped here lately. I think we are about to get a bigger shop since we need more space.

wow that came out nice. as long as you have your filter on i dont see anything hitting that screen, or it does fall off and u mince a squirrel heh, asuming the screen is to straighten air

is the maf section going to lay out in the same area like the greddys ?

The screen is to help straighten up the airflow as you said. The maf will sit in this location.

Wow, that kit looks beautiful... tuned with the AccessPORT I can see this becoming a seriously tempting option for people going FI. Best of luck WantedTwo.

+1

This kit looks amazing! After this build and its results the above-modified kit including an AP pre-tuned with a starter map through SFR would be an incredible option.

This is going to be one of the top 3 US rx-8s on the forum!

Ok, I suppose it's time for me to pop my head in here and give an update. First and most importantly, I'm HOME!!!!!! Feels great to be back in the good ol' US of A. Second and I'm sure you can tell from the pictures; the turbo kit is finished and will be shipping shortly if it hasn't already. I've already installed some of smaller parts on my car, such as the LED light kit, HID fog lights, SS and ****, BHR Ignition, new plugs and changed the oil. I have already run into a problem with one of my parts, the LED 3rd brake light that I was sent sure as heck isn't for a RX-8 so I'm working that issue right now. Here in a week and a half I'll be on my way to Mississippi where phase one will start. I'm really looking forward to my BBK!

Excellent! If the third-brake light is your biggest hiccup in the build you will be the luckiest man alive... post 100 more pics of the kit when you get your hands on it.

Glad you made it back in one piece. Thanks again for all that yall do for us.
