Complete noob here and know close to nothing about FI but just throwing this out there;

what about using the MM turbo with another kits piping, since the turbo he selected was tested and seemed to be the best fit for this car? <--(from his opinion)

Knowing he tunes for torque rather HP wouldnt this turbo be the platform to begin upgrading from? Is it even possible?

Sorry for the noobness.

It wont fit down there.
It is a decent choice for a high-mount, though.

hmmm, then I must have it wrong as mine is mounted down near the exhaust side foot well. I will have the car on the hoist next week hopefully and I will take a closer look.

Cheers

You got an 3582 mounted in the GReddy position?

Wow.

Its 40mm longer and 40mm wider than the 3071.

When I played with the 3582. I couldn't even get it to fit between the motor and the floor pan WITHOUT the manifold.

Not to mention the motor mount, intake manifold and downpipe.
That's a 600 HP turbo.

Pretty simple, actually.

On the left is the minimum exhaust flow to achieve the desired Pr on the bottom.

aside from feeling really stupid right now, i'm also completely flipped out that i've skimmed through dozens of threads on the subject on a variety of forums over the last few months and never found anyone who had a clear answer...

guess its time to start calculating mass flow for WOT/100% load across the rpm band

yet again, thanks for catching me up. i hope im not the ONLY one benefitting from this

No, actually, from looking at the pics on the site, it does look like a 3582 in the picture.
I'm curious what the cold-side plumbing looks like.

When I get a chance I will send you some pics. I just spoke to the guy and while he wont say exactly, he says that he specifically uses custom combinations to deal with the size issue, he also says the closest is what is on a BA Falcon which is a GT35/40 or the GT3582R.

Cheers

Andrew
