I see that engine blew in short order ..... That plus the one with the 7670 on the 7 forum . One claiming it was an omp failure the other a cracked iron .

Not saying this is evidence that these turbos are too small for a 2 rotor or anything . Just pointing it out ......................

I think so, this was a new Mazda crate engine. But untuned so not that surprising.

He barely went into boost from the look of it ! Pretty fragile those oem apexs ......

this is from when he bought the 7163 and new engine (WTF?!?):

So I had to get my 4th turbo and thought I should go back to a rear housing A/R of .85 (The .64 EFR6758 was too restrictive anyway)
My Garret GT3582 made 245kW atw before so I'm hoping this EFR7168 .85 will make similar power.
sounds like just another Peter Griffin kind of day for him.

go back and look at the boost profile I had posted. Capable of 15 psig @ 2000 rpm, which basically means it makes significant boost right off idle ... even with E85, a good tune and a good motor you'll need to have your act together or else ...\
