I'm in the process of doing a new manifold too... going to use Sched 40 304SS this time and a billet divided turbo flange and a 5/8" thick engine flange.... should be stronger and keep it from cracking. Going to weigh as much as a boat anchor thoughb.. 😎

Bloody Rotary EGT's..... not kind to manifolds at all

I sent the old one back as the core. But I saved the EDM'ed rotors and good housings in case I want to go down the RX7 apex seal path again. I had some bad housings and rotors to swap

Nice! I dropped mine off at the welder's shop this morning. He said it looks like they really didn't fill those welds, more like just fused the base material. He said he should be able to make it more better

A note on this reman: the whole thing looked brand new all around except for the hoist hook and the pulleys. Almost makes me want to buy another before they are gone...

I totally have the chinesium version of that bov. I like how tight the piping is and the bov location keeps the throttle area open and tidy. The wrapping looks really good. Makes me wish I had just relocated my battery.

Thanks! Relocating the battery was worth the effort. It’s not too difficult if you still want to do it.

Put together a voltage divider harness for the MAF to get more headroom. Now the limiting factor is traction. 2'nd gear, 14psi, wheels spinnin'...

I am digging the turbocharger location, though I bet it gives the alternator a hot supper. Was any other work done internally aside from milling for the deeper REW apex seals?

How much extra room did the larger MAF housing buy you before you added in the voltage divider?

The last motor with the REW seals developed an oil leak that I could never figure out so I got a new reman and put in Goopy RX8 apex seals. No other internal mods.

I didn't change the MAF housing, just added the voltage divider. A bigger MAF housing was going to cost money and time but I already had the MAF extension so it was quicker and cheaper
