. good work.

Thought you dropped off the earth.

Still running an E85 mix?

Not a fan of the wing but love the hood/led combo.

How much boost?

Travis

lol, just got sidetracked by another project this summer:

no more e85 here, running 92 pump and W/M. Turned it down to ~12psi.

One thing that's always been in the back of my mind, I know it isn't always related, but ever since I've had a boost gauge my idle vacuum has been only around -15inHg to -12inHg. Car starts good hot or cold, idles good, pulls good, runs good for the 40,000kms I've been FI'd, but just always been in the back of my mind. Was thinking about buying a rotary compression tester but the car runs so well I've never actually done it..... but always on the back of the mind.....

Where does your gauge pull it's signal from? I Tee'd in to my BOV signal line which is connected to the VFAD nipple behind TB on UIM. Not sure if tee'ing into this line would affect vacuum readings at all, theoretically it shouldn't... but I'm sure the signal would be much better from directly on the UIM or on the LIM ports.

Agreed, just hopefully not at 70,000km (44,000mi). The rotary compression testers are not specific to the MSP right?

Anyway's, glad to see your numbers are looking great Slash, I'm sure the car is still a beast at 12psi!

^ So it is specific to the Renesis? Need a different tester than what can be used on a REW?

No, it's the same for all rotary engines.

My bad, didn't see the NOT specific.

No they are not only for one or the other. They will test all rotary engines afaik .

Sorry, was a bit busy earlier and skimmed.

Glad to hear it's running well and your enjoying the car Jason!

In other news, now with your Tesla coil set to music it looks like Halloween might be very interesting at your place this year

Thanks Scott! As an aside, it's not just that the sparks are "set" to music but the sparks are actually emitting the sound of the music. There are no speakers. I know it's not car related and likely won't be of much interest here but there's actually quite a bit of power electronics and microcontroller stuff involved, which I geeked out on...

And yes, I hope Halloween will be good this year, it is my favorite holiday!

I have my boost gauge connected to the nipple on the UIM just after the TB, I believe the same as you. It's been so long since I removed the VFAD I forget where it connected...

My BOV is connected to one of the LIM ports and the other LIM port is connected to my W/M pump controller.

Haha! I've been too busy with other stuff to mess with the car this summer. Not that I expect anything to go wrong, but who does Didn't want to tempt the fates before I'm ready to tear into it again...

Yeah , I'm much the same . Running 14-15psi these days with E30 seems relatively 'safe' compared to what I was doing .

Yes same location.... only I ran my BOV signal to it first then Tee'd my boost gauge into BOV line.
