Newb question: if the different paints have different weights will it throw off my corner balancing?

It's more likely that the beverages throw out the balance than the colours .

Slash, I am pulling my stock rad fans and going with the rxperformanxe fan shroud. Would you be interested in those connectors? I'd rather help someone in the community then go to a landfill.

Going great! Just enjoying the car. Ethanol fuels have evaporated from the area so I've backed off pushing the boost. Sitting comfortably at 17psi with no plans to go up from there...

Anywho, these tuning tid bits you guys keep chatting about between build threads. Why not consolidate into one useful thread??

Nah, I'd rather not embarrass Cran, he's pretty cool...

Kidding Cran I just like the banter, your car is sweet

I've been working on something so it's not optimal ATM but I will work on it. The main thing I have been working on is this bug around 5K in 1'st and 2'nd. For some reason if I accelerate slowly in 1'st or 2'nd it goes a lean around 5K and makes the car lurch. STFT pegs out to +25%. It subtly happens in 3'rd too, but doesn't always happen and never seems to happen at all if I accelerate quickly or WOT. I'm thinking it has something to do with the difference between my yellow P1's and ID1K's. I've posted about it previously and after much experimenting have just come to the point of band-aiding it by bringing my CL exit RPM down to 4500. Doesn't seem to happen OL

Try increasing your entire secondary latency table by 20% to see if that improves the AFRs. PM if you want more details on this. I just spent 3 months dialing in my Bosch EV14s, and it only took several sessions of that time to do final 90% of the tuning once I understood what I was doing

You are very reliable for getting riled heheh

More reliable than an REW swap even

Thanks JB, I pm'ed you. Not sure if it is the same thing but I have been suspecting the large latency difference between the injectors I am using and the way they are staged. It is a very short lived issue but it makes the car lurch. Odd thing is that it only happens at slow acceleration, and even then it doesn't always happen....

This is a preliminary 2'nd gear log. I was able to get some traction back by lowering tire pressure. A little leaner than I like in a few spots, but no timing getting pulled, still working on it. I'll get around to a 3'rd gear log at some point...

150% load and 12.5afr...... doesn't that stain the ole undies a bit? I can't recall without reading back, is that with water/meth?

Yes hence my comment "A little leaner than I like in a few spots" but I suppose that doesn't really convey the intensity

No water/meth...playin' with fire....

It is interesting, as I've been working on the low load areas of the VE table around 5000 RPM to sort out my slow acceleration lean issue it seems to influence the high load fueling. The more I raise the VE at the low end the leaner it seems to get at the high end, so I have to go in and tweak the high end up.
