That is looking sexy!!! I am jealous! I doubt mine will look anything close to that, I just want to get back on the road...

Down to pretty much the short block. Waiting for a friend to run his air gun over to get the main bolt out. Not bad for a weekend first time engine pull... At least that's what I am telling myself

I will be surprised and pleased if you get that off with just the impact gun

Ya, low compression in rear chamber. Idle was crappy, slowly getting worse. I figured it's gotta happen so I just started tearing into it yesterday!

Unfortunately low compression in the rear is far too common with the Renesis. Good luck with the rebuild

Thx man! I am hoping the low compression is not turbo related. We'll see when I get it torn down...

You did good. With the engine out of the chassis and a flywheel stop getting the main bolt out with an air gun should be ok, even w/o the stop with a good gun and high pressure. Even my 18V Longacre portable racing impact gun with a fresh charge removes the flywheel nut without any trouble.

I picked up a 1000ft/lb air gun. It knocked the flywheel off in 2 seconds. Won't budge the main bolt. Going to pick up a breaker bar and some pipe.

Potential good news: I rotated the crank and looked at each apex seal front and rear. They all look intact as far as I can see thru the plug hole. They also spring in and out freely when I depress them with a screwdriver thru the hole. Nothing rattling inside as I turn it.

It's usually at the 45 deg. ends if an apex has gone .

Heat up the main bolt with a torch, works for every time.

... Your welcome.

How did the plugs look? Any signs of preignition on the plugs?
