Yes I do understand the physical differences between a 4 port and a 6 port. I spoke to him at length about this, and he feels that with proper internals, it is still possible on a 4 port.

The problem is no one has gone past 260 WHP. We just dont know what the limit of auto transmission is. Im not saying I want 300 WHP. I just want to know what is practically possible. Shell, your 55 thousand miles is very encouraging.

A good turbo kit fully installed with all the right accessories is probably about $10k. That's quite a bet to wager on whether the 4AT is strong enough or not.

Team, you're exactly right. It is a huge amount of money to put into the car, and I still have a big fat question mark between the engine and the wheels. It could hold up, like Shelldudes, and like Phils. Or it could decide to let go, and then I have a really expensive statue in my driveway.

Brettus, heard / read about some of your work in other threads. I had not found tofu box in my searches, but I will shoot him a PM. Thanks for the tip

Did 09factor never break 250WHP with his Turdblown top mount? But BigBadChris, don't get too caught up on HP numbers. Oh, and start your own thread.

It's all in the Series 1 AT-Specific Performance Modifications forum, which as 9k suggested is where the discussion should move to:
