dont
overfill the sc drive. it will heat up the gears and bearings. Better to underfill it just a tad than to overfill it.
the sc drive vent fitting is not to go to any vaccum--just run a hose to the back of the engine oe wherever you want it.
The o2 sensor as they age responds a little slower .it is just preventive maintenance is all.
I had not replaced mine after 47000 boosted/tracking miles--so I just did. I cant tell that the car drives any better--does get a little better gas mileage though.

hey, just a quick question, how much does it cost for every thing? parts/install. i just got a black 8 bout 3 months ago, and i love it so far. how much gain do you see and do you feel it through full rpm range, low end or hight end rpm. thanks guys

I've been trying to figure out why my car stalls out when I come to a stop. It idles fine, just when I depress the clutch pedal at 2k rpm or higher, it tends to just stall out. I've increased the idle to 1000, par kane, even tried changing idle fuel trims adding / subtracting. It seems to stall out just as much. Other bliping the gas pedal, anyone have this issue and maybe has a better solution?
I'm assuming that the car is not ready to catch the supercharger's load at idle.

Look at the decel fuel values in the maps...ie...do a log and look at where in the maps it goes when it starts to die....and give it a bit more fuel there...maybe have a look at the timing as well. Does it only do it when you push the clutch in at higher rpm's...or if you run it down closer to idle before you put in the clutch?

its not an uncommon problem for us-- at times it happens to me when i am add above 3 k and then push the clutch in.
if it is at less than 3K mine catchs fine--or if i just touch the throttle a little. No "lean spots" in my tables that I can see. ??? I have just learned to heel/toe as second nature

this isn't just a supercharger problem, happened 90% of the time when I did the same with my Greddy. I never fixed it but rather just learned how to deal with it, now I downshift to first religiously before a stop.
Not ideal, and if I had to do it again I would try to fix it

i have finished my exhaust system and it is very good. Obvious increase in power from 3K rpm upward.
I had the oem header, mazsport midpipe and RB catback.
My new system is an aftermarket header with 1.75 inch primaries going to a slip on merge 3 inch collector, removal of one mazsport resonator and deleting the connection/chokepoint at the rb catback/midpipe junction. This makes for a straighter exhaust path and it is a true 3inch system.
No number yet--but i dont need numbers to tell the difference.
It also has a sound different from others I have heard. it is a little loud for me on acceleration but there is no droning etc at cruise/ normal driving.
It does have a slight harmonic at a certain rpm/load that reminds me of my big block v/8 days
Sweet!

If I get it pretty close to 1k idle, it seems to be ok. When its warming up before it hits 160 degrees it won't stall out if I depress the clutch pedal. At idle the supercharger is the load 24%, during decel the engine becomes the load 11%, pretty big difference if the supercharger has to catch that. I've been having to use heal toe when I go into neutral to increase the load abit for it to catch. Not only that I some of my mods make my rpm drop faster, like my lightened flywheel. Maybe my car just needs to learn the drop in load.

I have found it takes a long time for the ECU to learn what to do for a low idle with the Pettit kit, most of us just deal with it till the ECU learns or we raise the idle to 1050RPM...

teaser pic of exhaust

this was before my heat shielding was installed.
i can now get exhaust gasket very easily too--i only need one now--got rid of the midpipe catback flange.

That will be very loud. I have a similar setup with a 100cell cat and two resonators and it is still loud. Driving on the freeway at around 4000rpm is unbearable.
I have a back up set that has a twin 2"pipe with a resonator in each after the cat and even that is loud.
I am now thinking of installine a new cat back that is a similar size to stock however, has a more free flowing design to keep things civil.

the other part of the exhaust cannot be seen in this particular pic--immediately past that second o2 bung is a mazsport 3 inch thru and thru resonator. It is louder than what it was with 2 resonators, but it doesnt have any drone on the highway and the decibels only increase with acceleration. It really is ok to do DD with. But, different people like different exhaust and its all good. The resonator is not touching as it may appear and heat shielding was added there too.
I apologize for the quality of the photos.

That is a good sized resonator mine is only a 4" and not very effective. I will look at upgrading in the future.
My car is lowered and that resonator position caused a bit of damage

The compressor looks identical to the Hymee kit. I like the positioning of the compressor as it avoids the complicated layshaft that Hymee used.
This should be good.

Moon, if you keep up that kind of work, and can get the fitment and RnD better than Hymee did, I'll buy that kit. (a bigger blower wouldn't hurt either)
I would be first on the waiting list and put the hymee for sale no problem if you put up the numbers.
Also I recommend you start your own thread on the issue

The numbers from this kit should be similar to the Hymee kit the only bit that need development is the bypass valve. Hopefully a solution will be available soon.
I am interested in seeing how the intake and intercooler pipes are plumbed.

That is the IC rite before the lower intake.
